Read last week that it'll knock £500k off the transfer fee that we owe Rangers. Makes sense to do this, as long as we field a very weakened team.

Why exactly are we playing this game? I still havn't heard the reason, is it just to tire our players a bit more?

Hope we start with reserves only, I see no purpose playing this now. I will also reckon I will watch a competitive CL match instead.

It's clearly a cheeky money spinner being as they are two clubs with big fan bases and a lack of European competition. If used well it could work for us though as some of the young and fringe players could do with a run out. With Lucas suspended for the next match it might be worth getting Spearing match sharp and/or giving Henderson a run as a CM.

My iPhone widget that PTP showed me is saying its at 7.30pm kick off. It was telling me yesterday too. Even my phone is excited for tonights fixture.

I don't see that one friendly would make much of a difference to fitness one way or another (so I don't see why some people are making a big deal of it), and seeing as we aren't in Europe I don't have a problem with it.

The only thing would be it would be really annoying if we picked up an injury.

I'm sure if we pick up any injuries then it'll be to players who won't get a look in on Saturday. I'd like to think that our first teamers will stay behind.
