Not sure that's fair at all.

Kenny did a fantastic job getting a demoralised and massively under-performing group playing again last season. However we have made wholesale changes to the playing staff in the last 12 months, changes that were needed but have left us with some questions to resolve about best XI, tactics, formations etc, as well as players needing to learn to play together.

Spurs on the other hand, have had a much more settled playing staff who have finished above us the last 2 seasons. Despite that, they've hardly been great so far this season, with the exception of the first 25 mins against us when they were very hungry, and if they win their game in hand are still only 4 points ahead of us (ie. the result of our head to head game).

Maybe it's because Kenny's old school, but Adam doesn't offer enough and sweeping passes are less important that quick accurate short passing, movin the ball quickly.

I didn't think we was including Meireles , I would definitely rather have him than Adam, but I think Adam brings more to the team than Henderson.

If I could choose one type of player to add to our team it would be a Silva/Mata/Modric type, this is the type of player we should be looking for in January.

I think the January window will shape the place that we will finish, and IMO we need to buy foreign now that we have our English base.

Kenny is playing Downing on the right.

Kenny is playing Downing on the right and no Carroll.

Kenny is playing Adam in a two man midfield.

Kenny is playing Gerrard in a holding position.

Kenny is playing Skrtel or Carra instead of Agger meaning that we he won't get the best out of Reina.

Play Downing on the left in a 4-4-2 with Carroll as one of the strikers and you get the best out of both of them.

Play Adam in a three man midfield in an attacking position and you get the best out of him.

Play Gerrard in a three man midfield in an attacking position and you get the best out of him.

Play Agger instead of Carra/Skrtel and you get the best out of Reina.

Downing should only play if Carroll is playing. He should play on the left or not play at all.

Yes Kenny did do that, but how much of it was down to the euphoria of getting shut of Bodger, and the effect of a new manager coming in that players are happy with ?

I don't know the answer to the above question, but there certainly are question marks arising over how good Kenny can be for lfc as manager again.

Tbh though, with the players Citeh, Chavski and Scum can afford and attract, it's debateable whether ANY manger can bring us a title or more over the next decade.

I don't like how this has turned into a Rafa style witch hunt on Kenny.

Witch hunt? Aren't we allowed to ask questions anymore, or point out where we think a manger got something wrong ?

The day i'm not allowed to question a manager of my side, well...may as well sit on our hands and say nawt.

Nobody is calling for his head as far as i know, or calling him silly names.

I'm only messing about, I was going to put white text in but I thought everyone would notice, I'm bored now the football has finished. .

I think in time we will all look back at this thread and think we were all silly to ask the questions, I have a good feeling that all will be well and Kenny will lead us to the CL, that's my honest opinion.

I can understand people asking questions of Kenny and tactics etc... but we should wait a bit before doing so. It's a "new" team with many new players so I guess he's going to fiddle with systems a bit before settling on his best formation/11.
                    Are we winning?

Bugger. Hopefully he will, but as i've said, it may be beyond ANY manager, with the competition and masssive wealth we're now up against.

He should have done that in pre-season. He shouldn't do that in the league.

If he want to fiddle with systems then arrange more friendlies and try different formations in that games.

                            Oh Arn, really?

Downing on the right I hate, I'll go with that being wrong. Your other 3 points only apply to one game though, I can see why he thought it might work against Norwich and tbh, if we'd put the ball away like we should have it would have done. Agger just came back from another injury ffs man, he started the season as first choice.

I could come up with dozens of things Rafa did during his reign with certain players that was wrong if I wanted, but I know you'd defend every single one and we'd end up in another utterly tedious discussion about things that don't matter anymore. Managers make decisions that don't work, if things don't improve then I can see why people would start to really get concerned but right now its far too early to be getting out the pitchforks.

Harsh, very harsh. I think Rafa was doing the same in his first season. He didn't settle for 4-2-3-1 until his 3rd year I think. It's normal that we've been a bit inconsistent. What did you all expect, us fighting it out with Chelsea and Utd already? Preposterous.

It'll be us vs Arsenal and Spurs for that 4th place. It was always going to be tough.
