I think we have a few players that could be as effective as Adam from open play. He's supposed to be a set piece specialist, but aside from a couple of good freekicks early in the season I've not been that impressed with his delivery.

        Gerrard Lucas Adam
        Maxi Suarez Bellamy
Would like to see that. But I'd bring in Spearing for Adam and go 4-2-3-1 with him and Lucas holding.

Who'd have thought four years ago that people on this site would want Lucas and Spearing together in the starting line up?

            How things have changed.

To be fair, four years ago we had Alonso and Mascherano

True, but I think most people would've been sick at the thought of Lucas and Spearing standing in for them!

Found out yesterday that Spearing is only 22. Seems to have been around forever - I assumed he was 24-25.

He's come on leaps and bounds over the last six months. Although to be fair he'd hardly played for us before then.

So after Gerrard, Carragher and Reina who's our longest serving players? Agger, Kuyt and then Spearing?

                                Yeah, Aurelio.

Wasn't he here for seven seasons or something crazy?!

However my friend, you mock El Zhar but he's currently playing for (well sitting on the bench) for the best team in Spain.
