Lucas' and Adam's major issue as a central partnership is their lack of athleticism. Both of them are slow and unimposing physically. Adding Gerrard helps but should that really be his role? To cover for other players' weaknesses?
Long term, we need more athleticism in the middle, and that should come from the DM, not the playmaker. My 2p.Comment
