    Downing was fine.

Good game, that they let us win. Big contrast to how Norwich got stuck in the second half.

Suarez is turning the diving tag by staying on his feet, when he has every right to go down. Good on him. He'll get far more protection for it, and get rewarded for being probably the best player in the PL atm. Although his finishing could get better.

Henderson did as well as Downing as far as I'm concerned, both tailed off in the second half. Bellamy for Downing would have been my substitution.

Charlie Adam did well for the penalty and showed his game intelligence today. But again slowed down after 60 mins. A golden sub moment for me.

Carroll, he'll be fine. I've seen nothing to say he's 'an elephant in the room' cliche. Worked hard, and has proven tonight can work well with Luis.

The back four were comfortable for a change. Agger Skittles is a pretty good pairing, especially when both are more than happy to go forward these days. Sorry Jamie, time to accept you should have another role.

Enrique was awesome as always. Glojo did competently, and will improve.

Reina needs a big man hug from the back four imo. It's no wonder he's flapped at a few things recently when our defence has been pulled all over the place in recent games. Agger in for Carra makes a huge difference, we have a measured exit out of defence.

And well done Lucas. No yellows today, but putting in some great interceptions to get our attack going.

But more than this. **** off Hodgeson, you owl faced lesbian blurt.

I'm happy with the performance. Lucas makes one hell of a difference. I was particularly pleased that in the second half we were consistently winning the ball high up the pitch. I know we were playing a Hodgson team, but still this was particularly pleasing. I said in the match thread that I think this could be a turning point for Carroll's Liverpool career. He wasn't great but he scored and showed more confidence. If he can keep on showing more confidence each game then he should come right.

1 point behind Chelsea conceded 5 less goals and we've hit the woodwork 10 times this season already. Who'd have thought? We still have a billion things to improve upon, but people are extremely premature saying we don't have a shot at a top 4 finish.

Downing is horrible. At least he works hard, this is his only saving grace. When he hit the upright it was a good attempt but apart from that he offers very little. His crossing has been ****, he has no confidence and isn't a threat to anyone. He can't beat his man, I don't really see what his purpose is. Awful signing.

Also, I know many people here don't like him but I thought that Henderson gave a decent account of himself again without being spectacular.

**** off Bodge, I hope you get sacked.

IMO looked fine right until the end & Hendo & Downing were pretty much non existent. Must havebeen waatching different game

But great 3 points non the less, even if West Brom didn't show up.

Definitely pleased about Skrtel and Agger keeping a clean sheet. Hope that's the tangible evidence Kenny needs to start phasing (throwing) Carra out of the starting 11.

They both did alright. But both would have been my first two subs at 60 mins.

Which is something I don't get from Kenny, we're not getting game changing subs at the moment. I can only guess he's working on game fitness. 10 mins from anyone, when the rest is fading....

Skrtel plays well when Carra isn't playing.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Same for Carroll really. Doesn't have to deal with that long aerial 50-50 ball from Carra's hoof every time.

Is this our first clean sheet?

                              No, Arsenal and Everton.

Reasonable performance, altho can't help feeling their ****ness was more a factor than our competence.

Still, we are only 1 point behind the Chavs & have yet to click. There's a few players I'm yet to be convinced by, but 2 of em scored today, so I'll just enjoy the win- especially as it's against Bodge & his purple rinse.
                                3rd place. Worst champions ever.
