Excellent result.

We won. We scored more than one goal. We kept a clean sheet. We got 3 points. We got 3 more points from this fixture compared to last season. We have 10 more points from fixtures played this season* compared to the same ones last season.

*Disclaimer: I am using the home game against Blackpool last season as the Norwich fixture as I needed some kind of positive following the draw with them.
If you put a home win against a newly promoted team in place of the loss against Blackpool we are still 8 points up on last season.

And despite it being described as 'controversial' the pelanty was absolutely nailed on and the incident showed a definite improvement in Luis's temperament.

He scores more but doesn't create more hence why we bought Downing along with Henderson and Adam. 3 of the most creative players (chances created) in the EPL last season.

He's always looking to shift the ball on, when it'd be the better option to go alone which is a clear sign he's lacking a bit of confidence. He also has a tendancy to look for an outside pass which is hampering play. Basically, he needs some more coaching but to say he's 'dreadful' is drivel.

I'd like to see him rested for a game and for Maxi to step in

Yes and Meireles had a better chances created per minute rate than Adam.

Downing and Henderson created a lot of chances, Maxi and Kuyt combined led to twice as many goals.
