    There is every way.

You're a notorious non-rater of Lucas, but everyone else disagrees with you. Parker had a good year last year and has done well thus far this season, but that's all. Lucas has been a mainstay in our midfield (with very good reason) for longer than Parker's impact has been of real importance to anyone.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

i'd take parker too to be fair.

but yeah those three standout - all three, even VDV who sometimes looks like he can't be arsed, are match winners - i'd argue that currently we only have suarez (obv due to gerrard's injuries) maybe bellamy?

but i'd say if we had bale, modric and parker in place of downing, kuyt and adam - we'd be pushing even higher.

Reina 7/10 - Difficult to rate his performance as he had nothing virtually nothing to do.

Johnson 7/10 - Very good from Glen, constantly getting forward down the right flank, he was a real thorn in WBA's side. Had little to do defensively so the questions about his defensive ability have been left unanswered, tougher tests for Glen in the future.

Skrtel 7/10 - Looks so much more assured when playing alongside Agger. Calm and composed from Martin.

Agger 8.5/10 - Class as always from Agger. Defensively outstanding, also his link up play with our forwards was very good.

Enrique 7/10 - Neat and tidy from Jose. Got forward a fair bit and was defensively solid. Another impressive performance from our LB.

Lucas 8/10 - Ran our midfield. Showed a good range of passing, vision and composure.

Adam 4/10 - Poor from Adam. Apart from his set pieces he really does contribute next to nothing in open play. He spent most of the game either strolling around the pitch waiting for the ball to be passed to him or giving away possession with stupid long range passes. I would have given him 3/10 but for the penalty.

Henderson 4.5/10 - Average again from Jordan. He simply dosen't have the pace or trickery to play on the wing. If Henderson has a future at LFC it is in CM, Kenny needs to realise this quickly.

Downing 3/10 - Anonymous. Another weak performance from Downing, needs to sit on the bench for a while.

Suarez 9/10 MOTM - Our new talisman. Virtually every attacking move begins with Luis. Awesome player.

Carroll 6.5/10 - Took his goal well and looked much more motivated than in previous games. But let's not go overboard on Andy's performance, there were long stretches when he was anonymous. Improvement from Andy but he needs to do more.

          Subs :

Bellamy 7/10 - Impressive from Bellamy.
          My Ratings:

          Reina N/A- virtually passenger

Johnson 7/10 - solid defensively and had few decent offensive runs

Skrtel 7.5/10 - Good partnership with Agger and did what he supposed to without making any errors

Agger 8/10 - Great performance and it is shame that he is so injury prone coz when fit he is one of the best in the world

Enrique 7.5/10 - Some very slick passing, getting more and more comfortable with the ball, demands more touches, defensively strong and linked up few times nicely with Luis and Stewart

Lucas 8/10 - Boss performance. Defensively flawless and passing forward was mostly on the money

Adam 5/10 - Defensive weaknesses are so evident that any other team would take advantage of that. His passing was also poor as many times he apologized to his teammats for wrong pass.

Henderson 6/10 - Better than against Stoke but he needs to be more involved. His crossing from the right needs to improve but had a decent showing when he moved in more central role in the second half

Downing 4.5/10 - None factor, poor linking with Carroll and Suarez (not on the same page), no good crosses, too passive, decision making needs to be much better

Suarez 8.5/10 MOM. Everything starts and ends with him. Game changer and true class

Carroll 7/10 - Scored the goal, looked eager to contribute, run well but needs to be more aggressive in the box and take advantage of his physical pre-dispositions

          Subs :

Bellamy 7/10 - Very much was Downing wasn't. An impact player that only need few touches and little bit of time to influence the match and create goal scoring chances

            'Scraped a lead' indeed

2nd half, we went into cruise control. We didnt score more, mainly because we didnt have to, and also because we hit the post and their keeper made a couple of decent saves.

On one hand we are 'playing ****e' - on the other hand, we need to be more clinical for ALL THE CHANCES we are creating. Sorry, but the two things are mutually exclusive. Sides who play ****e, do not concede loads of chances.

Come out of Armageddon mode, things are fine.

We scraped a lead, we had chances to score prior yet it took a penalty to get us in front. We failed to convert any of the early chances from open play - again. We scored the second because West Brom were unbelievably bad. Caroll still nearly ****ed it up with a terrible first touch.

We are dropping points because we are missing chances or are not composed enough in the final third. Suarez for his genius is a poor finisher.

This has been happening since opening game of season.

I can't see us finishing 4th this season. Don't see us winning more than 3 on the spin at any point.

We are dropping points left right and centre because we are missing chances or are not composed enough in the final third.

We will not finish 4th this season.

If you think otherwise, i think you are in for a nasty surprise
              .
Good job I'm still gunning for 1st.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I assume you are taking the piss, but I thought I would try and compare them by positions they play in for their teams now.

and yet with our dismal play in the final third we are 1 point (yes thats right one tiny little point) off third place!
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

I'm not taking the piss, but you're comparing apples with pears. Henderson is filling in on the right, where Lennon is a specialist. Comparing the two as wingers is unfair on Henderson. All this does is highlight that we're falling short of a natural right sided midfielder when compared to Spurs's balanced midfield.

I agree that as a unit their midfield is better than ours at the moment

It's amazing how we're so ****e, yet create tonnes of chances.

As for winning more than 3 on the spin - luckily, the league criteria is more about total points, than 'wins on the spin'.

Lucas is better on many levels IMO, I also reckon Bale is very overrated, I'd like to see stats for his goals and assists for the season. It's close between Lennon and Henderson for me. Modric stands out IMO.

Bale has 3 league goals this season, 2 of which he scored yesterday against QPR.

Spurs are a weird one for me, for all the plaudits Lennon, Bale, Modric and Parker will get, they simply do not score goals.

Their recent run of good results has largely been courtesy of Van Der Vaart's consistent goalscoring, which is something he has never produced across a whole season. Adebayor's now gone 5 games without a goal, so i would be interested to see what happens if and when Van Der Vaart's goals dry up.

They are contenders for top 4 spot and too many underestimated them before the beginning of the season.

They are tough team to beat and they will not go away without the fight.

It will be very difficult get in CL this year as even Gooners' form is getting better.
