Well, yes it is actually. What happened under the Bodge last season, well half of it, happened and there is no getting away from it.

Are we allowed to use the farce of 2009-10 where we finished 7th and with only 5 more points than last season or is that irrelevant to us?

The fact is, compared to the same fixtures last season we are doing better, considerably better.

This is not about arguing about net spending, it's about how we have spent the money we have had available to spend. Which was getting on for £100 million.

Jordon Henderson, Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing - combined fees of about £75 million.

They have not added anywhere near the improvement to our side that they should for that outlay.

I like Adam and I like Enrique, ironically the cheapest buys.

I agree that anything less than 114 points per match is not good enough for the LFC Reds Soccer Team.

The fact we haven't already won the Champions League at least twice so far this season is a major disappointment for me.

And we've failed to qualify even for the playoffs for Euro 2012.

          Dalglish out.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I think that we tried to sign Mata but I don't think he was that impressed by Kenny and to be fair it is understandable. Kenny must build up his reputation again. He must show that he can and will deliver.
The top class players won't take any notice of what kind of results Kenny did 25 years ago. They will see a manager that is a big gamble and isn't proven at all at the moment. They will look at him and ask themselves if he is good enough to get the best out me? That sort of questions.

Is Kenny good enough to get the best out of the top class players? He was that 25 years ago but what about now?
            Come on Arn..

            Your Kenny comments are OTP.

He doesn't need to prove anything to anybody.

Just relax and judge them at the end of the season. We had 6 or 7 players coming in during the summer. That is a lot of players and they need time to gel with the rest of the squad and get used to new training regimes and tactics.

I'm suprised you are not impressed with the bargain of the summer window, Bellamy and he cost nothing

The biggest problem for a lot of supporters is the price tags on players, why? I dont see a problem with it myself. If the club can afford to pay the negotiated price, for a player without increasing club debt, so be it

You really are a tiresome ****er. It will be great to see Rafa get a new managerial position, so you can run off and support them

Of course but that is such a lot of money for these 3 players. I was pleased our mentality was identify targets and get them regardless of cost. It was better than under previous regimes however none of them have improved our play and that for me is very disappointing.

We desperately need a creator and more pace (not just legs but in thought and touch). You said yourself a while back we need more game changers and you were right. We still only have Suarez and a worryingly unfit Gerrard.

If owners are prepared to keep investing to get it right then okay but if we don't get CL this year we are going to be in a spot of bother.

And there is nothing wrong with that either, we may all have to lower our expectations. We are not the only club to feel this way. Arsenal, Chelsea and United are probably all going to come up short against the Man city juggernaut.

But I really am frustrated with the limited quality in our side after spending such a lot of money.

I hope we can beat Swansea and have another 9 pages of celebration.

I hate the gloom when we lose.
