The fact we haven't already won the Champions League at least twice so far this season is a major disappointment for me.
And we've failed to qualify even for the playoffs for Euro 2012.
Dalglish out.

to be honest the state our squad was in this time last year I am really pleased at how well we've managed to improve it with what we've bought in but also got rid of so much dead wood.
I think some on here forget what a ****ing state we were previously in, I mean the squad was so poor it's not funny EL Zhar, Jova, The Konk and Poulsen to name but a few.
Turning around the shambles that was LFC at the time is not going to happen over night but we've come along way in a short time to repair that damage, there is more money that needs to be spent and players to bought in I have no doubt but it takes time.

People were saying similar last year with Hodgson in charge basically implying that our poor league position reflected the poor players we had playing. Thankfully Kenny came in and with a bit of help from Suarez proved that to be complete bollocks and had pretty much the same players playing like title challengers.Originally posted by BG1973 View PostWe will see Craig, you can call it doom and gloom, I call it perception. I think we are papering over cracks right now.
of course I hope it picks up but i'll say it again, there is no real quality in our side except the obvious one. Getting on for £100 million spent since January and i think that is a massive worry and it depresses the hell out of me.
Although it’s a bit worrying that we’ve not really showing the type of movement and passing that made us so good last year, once Kenny’s new team gels and start playing to each other’s strengths then we should hopefully see a massive improvement.
Originally posted by Assassin View PostJust relax and judge them at the end of the season. We had 6 or 7 players coming in during the summer. That is a lot of players and they need time to gel with the rest of the squad and get used to new training regimes and tactics.
I'm suprised you are not impressed with the bargain of the summer window, Bellamy and he cost nothing
The biggest problem for a lot of supporters is the price tags on players, why? I dont see a problem with it myself. If the club can afford to pay the negotiated price, for a player without increasing club debt, so be it
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yep, im not sure what some were expecting really, a 6th, 7th place team to storm the league just because they spent a few quid? We are a work in progress, just like Man City were despite splashing far more cash around than we have.Originally posted by rcasemore View Postto be honest the state our squad was in this time last year I am really pleased at how well we've managed to improve it with what we've bought in but also got rid of so much dead wood.

If our **** players are now Stewart Downing and Charlie Adam then we've come a hell of a long way.
I can understand the frustration at some of the dropped points at home but coming on here to read relentless criticism after we've won 2-0 away from home baffles the hell out of me. And its not the first time either, a 2-0 win at Arsenal wasnt good enough for some, neither was a 2-0 win at Everton (how on earth can anyone be unhappy after winning the Derby?!) and now dominating 90 mins and winning 2-0 at a ground where Man Utd fluked a win with a late own goal isnt good enough either! Any away win in this league is a good one, winning by more than 1 and getting a clean sheet is excellent.

Your Kenny comments are OTP.
He doesn't need to prove anything to anybody. If you think that a foreigner rate what Kenny did for the club 25 years ago that highly then I don't agree with you. When it comes down to if Rafa would get it easier to convince foreign top class players to join us then then the answer would be yes without any doubt at all but I don't want him back as long as FSG don't want him back. Kenny of course know the English market better and is still a very big name among British players and can easier convince them to join us.Originally posted by Assassin View PostYou really are a tiresome ****er. It will be great to see Rafa get a new managerial position, so you can run off and support them
They can run a company much better than I can and Liverpool FC is company even if we don't like to call it that.
I support Liverpool FC thank you. Always have and always will. I respect Rafa but I love the club. I always want what is best for the club.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

Balls!!! anybody who knows anything about football knows about Kenny Dalglish, he has the combined reputation of being a player who has won it all with a team that at their time were the greatest in the world, and a manger who has also won the premierleague before, all this talk of him being-outdated or archaic is absolute nonsense and i think even foreign players would realise this.Originally posted by Arn View PostIf you think that a foreigner rate what Kenny did for the club 25 years ago that highly then I don't agree with you. Like Craig has mentioned i don't think we even made a firm offer for Mata.
What makes Rafa any better at convincing players to sign? his accent?
"Jes, Juan Manuel, i would like to sign you no?" "well with that accent i can't refuse"
(perhaps in the case of Mata his previous stint at Valencia would have been advantageous)
but on the whole i don't buy into your point that he would have been better at convincing foreign players to sign.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!
