    Sterling

Couldn't find a Sterling thread, apologies if one already exists, from BBC rumours page: -

"Bolton are hoping to take Liverpool youngsters Raheem Sterling and Jon Flanagan on loan in the January transfer window.
    Full story: Caught offside"

Probably bull but I'd be happy with that. I'd like to see some of our better young prospects getting Premier League experience instead of 2nd Division loans.

    Will probably suit all parties.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Bolton are an alehouse team. Would prefer if they went to a 1st division team that plays good football.

Raheem's just a young lad and his Mum's just moved up to look after him so a local side would probably be best for him. Not the same issues for Flano though.

I'd like to see them go to Blackpool. It seems to have done wonders for Shelvey.

Probably a few years out with this comment. Coyle likes to play good football and helped bring along both Wilshere and Sturridge last season.

Sterling still seems a little young for first team football.

Sounds like a good deal for us, presumably it would benefit Flanagan more than Sterling as he's closer to the first team. Hopefully they'd get a decent amount of game time.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I’d have liked to see Pacheco go there a year or so ago, but think this might be a bit soon for Sterling. I think Flanagan would benefit from first team football, but until Johnson and Kelly can prove that they can stay fit for consecutive weeks/months then I’d hold onto him (unless of course we have an early release clause).

Seeing as he seems to be going stale in the reserves I wouldn’t mind seeing Suso given some first team opportunities to see if he’s good enough, but I doubt that he is ready and I’m sure Bolton and other teams know this.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Didn't do Daniel Sturridge any harm...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

How old was Sturridge at Bolton?

                      21. 4/5 years older than Raheem.

Good move if true and if they are seriously thinking of playing. They play decent football too

I think he's a bit too young. Wouldn't he be better off playing and training with our own reserves, or is he already doing that?
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

He’s already with the reserves, but I think we need to see a few first team sub appearances and maybe the odd cup game before we can see if we could trust Bolton with his development as a first team player.

The reserves actually play Bolton at 2 PM today, so wonder if Coyle will give himself a run out against them
