Tbh I really don't think Bolton play better football now then they did under Allardyce. It's the same route one football but Allardyce could actually organise a defence which the media hyped Coyle seems incapable of. I couldn't believe it when some Liverpool fans wanted Coyle to replace Hodgson.

On topic, I don't think that Sterling is anywhere near ready for prem football. I'd rather he stayed with the ressies for now and training at Melwood. It would be a good move for Flanagan though, who's had plenty of first team experience but would find chances hard to come by this season. He could iron those mistakes out at Bolton that all young defenders will make, at a club that is more forgiving.

I watch Liverpool every week and rarely see Bolton play so TBF I guess my opinion is heavily influenced by the media. But I cannot imagine that anyone on here has watched much of them.

From the very few times I've seen them I don't think they play hoof football anymore but that doesn't mean I think they are a good team.

But these are the kind of teams that will take young fringe players and it's a chance for us to blood them in the PL.

Statistically, they are one of the most hoofball teams around, even more so than Stoke.

I opened this thread specifically to see Arn telling me if Sterling's £20m value had shot upto £30m.

Yet, there's no sign of Arn. I feel let down.

He need playing time. No point playing him in the reserve team. They don't play enough games.

Loan him out and it would be better to loan him out to Bolton than a Championship team. He would probably get kicked to pieces in the Championship. He would get better protection in the PL.

If he get enough playing time then I believe he will be on the bench for us next season. What I expect is that he will be in the starting XI the 2013-14 season.

For his size, i'd worry that he'd get kicked to pieces in the top flight too.

Not if his game intelligence is good enough. Then he will be able to avoid most tackles, like Silva for example.

It also depend what kind of football the team play. If they play quick pass and move football then a player his size would survive without that much problem.

I'm all for him going on loan, but I'd be very wary of playing a 17 year old - who's tiny anyway - for any lengthy amount of time.

So what kind of players dominate football today?

The answer is the "midgets". It is more important to have great game intelligence, skill and vision than being strong.

                    Football is changing.

I think you're just pissed at having a £20m player in the reserves.

Bloody midgets. Once they've found your crisp stash, the whole family moves in.

In the dry wall, under the floor boards and under your feet.

yes, they've been fantastic at being in a lower division where shelvey can look better.
