We underperformed so I'm not going to argue with you about it. I'm as disappointed as anyone about the performance today but I think you are being a bit OTT.Originally posted by McDermotX View PostI think you're giving our playing staff too much credit.....I'm not sure we have a game to play.
Same ****e.......full of ifs, buts and maybes. Same old story, same tired rhetoric from everyone connected in the post-match analysis.....
Some people even gave the Hodge more time than this.
If we don't get decent results in the next 2 games this site is going to be unbearable.

I have never felt so frustrated.............FFS!
Drop Downing and Henderson and Use Maxi and Bellamy instead.Infact **** Adam off as well and play Spearo instead.
£40m Downing and Henderson cost and they are not delivering at all.
How Bellamy isn't starter baffles me.-----------------------------------------------

It's a fair point though. The approach described by JH has certainly not been followed in the summer. We have bulked up the squad with decent players, but the problem now is that they are regular starters, not the impressive squaddies they should be. For it all to make sense, we need to spend a lot and buy some real here and now quality, but the fear is that might not happen.Originally posted by ~LFCHistory~ View PostBTW I'm aware my last post was slightly off topic but I needed to get out of my system.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

All too often we come up short in games which should be 3pt bankers, and the way the match progressed today was all to predictable. No surprise at all given the quality of the squad, or more importantly, the way we are setup to impose ourselves on a game.
Its not a new problem, its been here for a number of years, but what really gets my goat, is all the paper talk crap a number of players (and probably the management
) will be coming out with around how we need to be "upping our game", or "taking our chances", or "stopping all the talk and getting on with it" (how ironic).........before we go out and give another limp performance interspersed with a convincing home win, or a big victory away to one of our rivals (repeat ad nauseum).
Its time to forget all the 'if this had happened', or 'if only Carroll had connected' etc, and look at the basic root problems instead of relying on something out of the blue from Suarez, or hoping that Gerrard will be back to his best etc etc
I'm in no way calling for a change of management, but certainly Kenny is going to have to look at his own failings and improve matters as best he can. Otherwise, Europa League football will be unattainable this season again.
Some right dramas over on the Kenny thread alright, but the cold reality is, even if, and I repeat, if, this kind of form continues........FSG won't be doing anything until the end of the season........minimum."I will make the boys feel your support"

Dalglish has put himself in a dangerous position IMO.Originally posted by Bender View Postthat's nearly £50million worth of signings by dalglish ......not sure the overlords will be happy
78 million spent on Carroll, Adam, Downing and Henderson who to a man are utter gash. If Dalglish drops these players then FSG might start asking uncomfortable questions about the fortune wasted on mediocrity. But on the other hand if the manager persists with those four players through either stubborness or because he prefers Brits to foreigners then we will continue to drop points and his position will become increasingly difficult.

Quality is available even for teams without CL football. Suarez, Enrique, Bellamy, Meireles and Coates are proof of that. Another good exapmle is this - many of our fans said that Downing was the best wide player we could have bought without CL football, Royston Drenthe on loan would have been a better deal, a far superior player than Stewart f'in Downing and we would have saved 20 million.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostIt's a fair point though. That shouldn't come into play imo.We have a squad and whoever isn't playing well should be dropped.
Remind me,how much did Berbatov and Carrick cost Manu?-----------------------------------------------
