If I picked Lucas I'm pretty sure you've would have agreed.

Lucas, Henderson and Downing were all **** today.

Nobody will mention that Lucas was as big a passenger as them both, and got passed by Swansea players over and over again.

Hate to say I saw the line up & didn't even bothering watching the stream cos I assumed the draw. We are more a one man team now than we have ever been. I was deeply concerned about our transfers in the summer and it gives me no satisfaction to nit gave changed my mind. We're worth 6th at best. We had a prime opportunity to het back into the CL this season& have blown it early doors. ****e.

do we have any wingers? we were so narrow at times it was unbeliveable, johnson and enrique should be giving us loads of width, but the system isn't working at home.

To be fair though Carrol scores the sitter in the 1st half diff game, chances chances chances...another 17 attempts on target, i think that is your main issue here.

all the british signings have been awful - carroll, adam, downing, henderson all look like what they are - overvalued british players who cant cut it at the highest level. to think that those four came from newcastle, blackpool, villa and sunderland there's no pedigree there whatsoever and we were stupid enough to pay top dollar for carroll (who's going to be the biggest flop in our history), henderson - who doesnt look like he knows how to play wide right and downing who's been really disappointing. Adam was bought for a decent fee but hes a ****ing passenger in midfield.

Don't think many of us were impressed with our summer signings but if they're red then we'll get behind them. It's early days though and they don't look like doing anything - Downing is the one that really baffles me. £20m for someone who's done nothing of note in ten years of PL football. He's only three years younger than Maxi and he won't have any resale value at all. Maybe £10 if we sold him next summer? £20m indeed ffs.

Suarez, Enrique and Bellamy (when he plays) are great signings. The rest of them - and for those prices - need to step up a level or two.

I dont get why Adam is getting flak, i thought he done ok and was far better than Luca today, he tried to get us going and was always looking for the forward pass, hes not Gerrard and never will be but i thought he was ok today

Not sure i agree there, 17 shots on goal tells you we do create but our finishing is championship standards, however the longer it goes the more desperate we get....Kuyt for henderson and Gerrard for adam are the obvious choinces.

Suarez was quiet today and it showed how much we rely on him!

as usual theres a lot of over reaction here. if carroll had scored that early chance, confidence would have been up and we'd have probably picked them off at will. instead we were forced to chase it and up against a team that averages 500 passes a game it played into swansea's hands. they are a bloody good footballing team, but by playing so open they will on occassion get ripped apart. he could have been us.

saying that, there is something wrong with the balance of the team. I thought Carroll linked play well, yet we didn't have enough men supporting at times. downing has laid on some peaches in his lfc career but he goes hiding a little when we need him to stand up. Lucas is our best defensive midfielder but he doesn't impose himself enough, we lack a real ball winner. McMahon in this team would excell. Adam is always offering himself for the ball, I'd play Spearing in a 3 next game. It'd help Lucas & Adam.
