He talked of when he left Celtic and went to meet Moyes to talk about signing for Everton. Said they had the best meeting, felt really good about Moyes and the signing was inevitable. Moyes wanted Bellamy to see him sign a couple of players before they did the deal, to prove to Bellamy they were going places. A few weeks later the deal was ready to be done and Bellamy flew to Liverpool thinking he was going to sign. Drove to Preston to meet Moyes and said he got completely the opposite feeling, Moyes reading out all his rules and everything, didn't feel wanted, so left the meeting and told his agent he wouldn't sign.

He ended up going to Blackburn.

Then we came in for him after his season at Blackburn. Said he went to meet Rafa and got similar vibes to when he met Moyes the second time. All through his career he's signed - or not signed - for clubs based on his gut feeling when meeting the managers and said if it was any other club he would not have signed for us after meeting Rafa. Said he didn't feel Rafa had a definite role for him and instead was picking him up cos he was available for a cheap £6m (release clause). Walked out of the meeting feeling bad but for the first and only time in his career went against his gut feeling and signed for us just because it was Liverpool.

      Ace story Assassin.

& aye, it was a particular highlight of the match to see him getting stuck into the slitty eyed racist & Fatty Lumps.
      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I get the feeling Suarez loves playing with Bellamy as well. They have similar passion for the game and both work their socks off.

Loved the line up of Maxi/Suarez/Bellamy. Was delighted when saw Kenny picking this, pure pace and guile. Gives us a direct but unpredictable approach that we've been lacking IMO. Ideally in our squad i'd like to see them starting every week (Bellamys condition of knees obviously an unknown to us)

I never realised he had anything up with his knees. How was his fitness at Cardiff? I got the impression he played most games across a Championship season, which is a lot.

He definitely can't play twice in the same week.
              Hello mert.

Me neither mate and he looks fighting fit every time he plays, not sure if it's just a rumour, was mentioned several times on here but could be bollox, hope so anyways can't see why we'd buy a crocked player.

Craig Bellamy stats over last few years:

And started 35 games for Cardiff. Anyone know if the "dodgy knees" things is actualy true or just rumour?

Either Bellamy himself or Kenny has mentioned it this season in an interview... sure of it.
                      Hello mert.

Ok thanks mate, i think it might have been Bellamy when he was at Man City. Think he had bust up with Mancini about something and it came out.

I could very well be imagining things though - had a quick google and couldn't find anything except for old comments mentioning the same from his previous clubs forums!

I liked the description of him at the start.

Once described by Sir Bobby Robson as "a man who could start a fight in an empty room"

Yeah 35 games would suggest he doesn't have as big a problem with injury as people thought.

I am nearly sure I read an article with Bellamy saying that he needs to be very careful and that he knows he doesn't have long left at the top and that he has his own physio to take care of it all.
