Todays results and tomorrows fixtures mean that a win in this game could be a huge result. If we win and Arsenal lose we could move above them into 5th tomorrow, just 3 points behind the Chavs in 3rd. We need some good results over the next few games.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If they ****ing turn in a performance all of a sudden tomorrow, i'll be furious.
Happens to us all the time - look at the Spurs, Sunderland, Stoke (league), Wolves & Fulham games. All seemed VERY dissinterested against the likes of the Scum but against us played their games of the season!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Can Luis be in the right frame of mind after the few days?

I hope so, he seems made of stern stuff and just gets on with things.

To be brutally honest, ever since this race **** kicked off, he's been slightly below par IMO. Based on his usual incredible standards, i mean.

To be honest I think he's a bit tired, dare I say it but an easy ban of say 2 games could do him good.

                Stat attack:

                Aston Villa
                • Villa, who have only averaged a point per game from their last eight matches, next host Arsenal and then visit Stoke and Chelsea before the end of the year.
                • Alex McLeish's side have dropped nine points from winning positions - only Blackburn (12) and West Brom (11) have fared worse.
                • They have conceded a league-high 32% of goals from corners.
Darren Bent's five goals this season have all come at Villa Park.
                • Stiliyan Petrov has scored three league goals this season - as many as in the previous four seasons combined. His last goal at Villa Park came on the opening day of last season, against West Ham.
                • Emile Heskey scored 60 goals in 228 appearances for Liverpool between 2001 and 2004.
                • Stephen Ireland awaits his 200th club career appearance.

                Liverpool
                • Liverpool have only lost one of their last 10 league matches (W5, D4, L1).
                • They have the best defensive record in the top flight, conceding only 13 goals and keeping five clean sheets.
                • The Reds have hit the woodwork more times than any other team this season (15).
                • Summer signing Stewart Downing is expected to make his 300th club career start. He scored nine goals in 63 league appearances for Villa between 2009 and 2011.
                • Daniel Agger is poised for his 150th Liverpool appearance, while central defensive partner Martin Skrtel should make his 100th league start for the club.
I can see them (and especially us) making life difficult tomorrow, like someone else mentioned here earlier. No easy games...

Kenny, Clarke and Comolli were on Wigan vs Chelsea match yesterday.

Watching our next match opponent or scouting someone?

I wonder why all three of them are going to watch the opponent. Maybe we are looking at that McCarthy fella? He fits the profile we are after.
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

He does tick a lot of the boxes and he has been linked before.

Not as simple as getting away from Strictly for the evening?

I was actually thinking as a favour to everyone there should be a thread in the match day forum where mostar posts his links to the whole game so people can just pop in there and get the link without needing to sift through the match day thread/post match thread to basically find out everything that happened before watching the clip.

                            What do you think mos?

I posted a bunch of stream links (both SopCast and flash) here if anyone is interested.

Sure I can set up the separate thread under Liverpool FC heading with the entire match upload.
