We were ****ing sloppy for most of the half after cruising to a two goal lead. Kenny need to kick some arses at half time.

Half time, 2-0. Good position to be in, but I think our play has been flat since we scored the second, and we haven't looked like scoring since. I'd hoped being a couple of goals up, we could have gone on and got a few, and given ourselves a confidence boost. (after our troubles in front of goal). Having said that with a busy fixture schedule you can see why we might be happy not to spend more energy that necessary in trying to win the game.

He's frustrating too, needs quality alongside him to alleviate the self imposed pressure

Good result so far but the play has been dire. I'll take the scoreline at FT though. We need to find someone to play alone upfront. We are wasting Suarez's talent there

Nice to see how we can dominate, play average, yet still be 2-0 up. Loving it. Better 2-0 and playing relatively subdued than doing the relentless 'We murdered them 0-0'

we have been sloppy and look weak in central midfield. nothing that gerrard for shelvey wouldnt solve though.

and a replacement for lucas.

With one eye on the game against Wigan mid-week, it looks like we are now playing keep-ball. Getting players behind the ball when they attack and then look to catch them on the break with a goal to seal it.

It's not aesthetically pleasing, but what the hell - it's professional and what I would have taken before kick-off.

The teams okay the way it is, little slopyy at the end though, one more goal should sort it out, Downing, Bellamy and Shelvey have all stood out.

Suarez looks a tiny bit leggy, maybe get him off for Maxi on about 65 70 mins if no improvement is shown.

2 up at half time away from home is brilliant. Unsurprisingly not enough for some on here mind!

no one on here is anything but delighted to be 2 up away from home. but we have been really sloppy. in fact I'd say its one of worst performances this season when its come to creating chances. but like I said before you take the points while you can. can't see anything wrong in wanting us to kill them off.

Man of the first half, imo

Same here. He was good offensively and defensively.

Great result so far.

Need to tighten things up little bit at the back as they are finding holes between our back 4 and our midfield.

Could really use one DM.

Decent first half, we took our chances for a change but not managed to create a whole lot. Suarez looked very frustreted at the end of the half, but he hardly had the ball in the first half so understandable. We look a bit weak in central midfield going forward, but Villa have pressed well.

Overall I'm happy we are in front 2-0 with a few faults, and it's better than having played very well but going in to half time with another 0-0. Can't see Villa coming back in to this, it's really a very poor team out there.

Those 3 to me had very good first half.
