Liverpool FC announce partnership with Konica Minolta

Liverpool FC’s latest signing, Konica Minolta, looks set to bring new vibrancy to the clubs off pitch activities with a collaboration designed to bolster Liverpool’s status as a provider of print and document services.

Acting as the Club’s official print and document management partner Konica Minolta will help the team develop brand affinity through engagement with supporters.

Ian Ayre, Managing Director, Liverpool Football Club, said: “We are excited about working with a brand that has such an innovative and fresh approach to business solutions and the Club will provide Konica Minolta with significant brand visibility and access to our supporter base.”

Neil Dingley, Konica Minolta’s Operations Director & Company Secretary added: “Our partnership with LFC supports our corporate vision of developing long-term partnerships that optimise mutual profitability as we will be able to improve efficiencies and reduce operational costs associated with managing print and document management for the Club. At the same time, we will be able to raise our own profile in the B2B arena as the market leader.”

Another nail in the coffin of football; whoring yourselves out to the highest bidder.

"Liverpool’s status as a provider of print and document services"

        ?

Ah, "... and access to our supporter base".

So basically we've sold them a mailing list.

It's what football is all about.

            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
