he's a very tidy footballer that keeps the ball moving and usually finds his man. he isn't lucas and won't ever be. his size is his biggest negative, if he was 5'11 or so, he's be a real force. thats nature. I like him a lot.

@ Buzzo - you watching Diamond and thinking what might have been for the Jambos? Haha

We're lucky to be winning this one. We've been poor Oldham have had the better chances, but somehow we're in front. Hopefully we can build on this and get some players confidence back, with a few more goals.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He's a lot more agile and quick footed than Charlie Adam could ever dream of being.

I dont know why everyone's crying at such a poor display, it was never going to be vintage stuff. They came out with hard-ons, at the biggest day of their lives and obviously went for it and wanted it early on. We were like 'yeah, you carry on lads, have your moment' and have since taken control.

We'll win comfortably, might not be epic stuff and there wont be a DVD release but who gives a **** when we'll be through to the next round before anyone else has kicked a ball?

If you're gonna moan about something, moan that we're not going to get the draw that i wanted

I'm not even watching it! Seems like a wise decision.

But - Aye, Xanders come a long way since Pittodrie

very true. I also like Adam though. His form has dropped recently but he's created a fair few goals so far.

right, lets yank off dirk and give him a good old thrill and replace with carroll at half time. time to get a goal or two for the big man. replace maxi with downing.

Chris Taylor looks like he should have played football in the 70's

You're right in praising him for keeping the ball moving but as mentioned before I really miss Lucas because Spearing doesn't have the same class when it comes to closing down opponents or preventing them from playing on the edge of our penalty box.
You could already see the difference in the match against Fulham who were allowed too much time and space but off course this subject drowned in the discussion about his red card

no one is crying craig, I'm just bemused how such highly paid players are so poor at passing the ball or at having any imagination. I fully expected Oldham to give it a go, if we hadn't fluked that equaliser so quickly we could well have struggled the longer the game went on. as it is, I'd hope for a couple more.

as for wanting a draw, whatever you're warped reasons, I find it almost as bad as wanting as to lose when houllier was in charge to get the boot.
