Pretty much every goal worth watching in any game on there.
The goal lifted up a lot . I don't think I've noticed that before.

Bellamy was outstanding again. Very good performance by Kelly. Too bad he didn't score in the second half as he deserved a goal.

Great goal by Carroll but I wish he was able to put away a header just 2 minutes after he scored.

That would have been great for his confidence.

Oldham had a very good game and result is not reflection of what happened on the pitch.

Interesting to see some the attacking positions Shelvey takes up very similar to what Gerrard does

now if only we could give him some pace and hed be a really really good player

Hopefully the goals from Carroll and Downing will give them a huge boost and we'll see better performances from them.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It took us an Oldham goal to snap us in to life, but once we did it was a comfortable evening.

Coates and Carragher highlighted why they are second choice at the moment; Coates has the attributes to become the future of our defence with a little bit more time and coaching, unfortunately for Carragher, I think it's time to accept his future as a back-up.

Kelly never disapoints, he looked as composed as ever and was unlucky not to make it two for the season. Johnson maybe recognised as a goal threat more because of his mazy runs and classy finishes, but with Kelly, we have a presence from set-pieces.

Aurelio always looks the part - it's such a shame he is made of glass - he has a wand of a left peg and is positionally sound.

Spearing mopped up nicely, Gerrard is just Gerrard and Maxi drifted in and out of the game, but showed an excellent reading of the game. Kuyt struggled to get in amongst it upfront and Shelvey was given licence to support him - which he did extremely well. Has issues sometimes in getting his head up, but took his goal well - and as Lecter has pointed out - they both make similar supporting runs, hence why the third goal, they were pretty much kicking each others boots to knock it in.

Bellamy a clear man of the match, drive, purpose, desire and a constant threat.

Glad to see Carroll on the score sheet, I felt this was a game he should have started to bag a couple and raise his confidence, but hopefully he can build on this. I was also glad to see Downing score - someone in the match thread seemed to mock him for celebrating infront of the Kop - surely his first goal for the club, the stick he has received and the fact it was at the Kop end, he was well within his rights to celebrate?

A comprehensive win, in to the fourth round, (where a similar draw at home to a team in the lower leagues would be great) , five goals from five different areas of the park all spoilt by some divs in the crowd.

I thought we looked very fragile and shaky at the back. Neither Coates nor Carra had good games. Cannot see Carra making into starting lineup regularly ever again bar some injuries to either Skrtel or Agger.

Too many times Oldham had chance to score and we were fortunate they didn't find the net more often last night.

I thought Kelly had great game. Very unlucky not to bang the header, good offensive and defensive shift, looked very good all around. Very impressed with his performance last night.

Bellamy is just Bellamy. Burst of energy and quality just when you need it. His looked really good on the right and it is unfortunate not to see him and Downing interchange more on the wings as I think we would get more out of both if we would do that more regularly.

Glad for Carroll that he scored a bomb. Great strike. Too bad he didn't follow with a header too but good impression in 6,7 minutes he was on the pitch.

Downing scored and that is plus. How will this impact his performance next time he plays it will be interesting to see.

All in all, after we got 2-1 lead it turned out to be very enjoyable game in sports sense.

Nice way to commemorate Kenny's 1 year in charge.

Shelvey's regular ability to get into the box was most pleasing. Gerrard-esque, his goal was.
