we just won away against mega rich Cityh and I cannot understand who anybody is not happy with that.

Sure performance wasn't the most inspiring but too many times we played better and we couldn't come up with the win.

This was huge and we have to start looking a bigger picture.

We finally have a genuine chance to get some silverware this year..

Good post. Not all games are going to be won by a country mile. We had to fight hard for that win and that's what Liverpool are all about. Spirit showed in abundance tonight.

He wasn't "up front" for most of the second half. Much better to have Dirk running his ass off for the last 35 mins IMO

Shearer highlighted Carroll's all round poor play, lay offs etc.

He had a difficult job yes, but he just doesn't look right.

Personally I thought Kenny should have pulled Carroll and not Bellamy as Bellamy's pace could have caused problems for City especially as they moved almost all their players except Savic and Lescott in our half in last 10 minutes in hopes of getting an equalizer.

It's an obvious thing to say, but they really missed Kompany, Yaya and Silva.

In our defence we could only played whoever they featured.

Great win and soon enough we all will forget the performance but still remember the outcome.

I would agree, but I guess Bellamy's fitness situation comes into it, and with alot of games coming up Kenny probably thought he shouldn't play the full 90mins.

Bellamy played for 80 minutes I am not sure that 10 more would make that much difference but you could be right.

so its not like only city were below full strength.

We were well on top though and they didn't gain the ascendancy by forcing themselves on the game - we basically gave it to them. Comparing the teams on paper is meaningless when one team - us - had a discernable advantage that was seemingly given it up voluntarily.
