Every time I see that goal I still wonder how the **** it went in.

He's so far out and to keep the ball down, at that time in the game and to get through that many people and still beat the keeper - I still wonder how he did it.

    ****ing look at it.

His best years were playing in that front three behind Torres (or whoever was in for Torres).

As for captain I can see the shouts for Reina but like you I'm not a fan on having a keeper doing it. Got to be Agger or Lucas (if they're both still here, which hopefully they will be).

Not sure whether the title of this should be changed, although then the OP wouldn't make much sense. So I'd just like to repeat the sentiment above, and call Muddled a ****.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
      Mine angry and defrauded young?

He's inspirational though and he can blast you if you do something daft, Lucas does neither. I went with vicious because I wanted to stick with a 'v' theme after vocal ... but there has to be a bit of tenacity involved for me.

Well Lucas is most certainly tenacious. I think he'd organise well and be a good leader imo.

It is a *bit* sensaltionist though

You can change it to 'Life After Steven Gerrard' if you see fit.

I'd say he still has 2-3 seasons more at top level, and if we nurture him well (and he want's to) he has the talent to be around the squad for another 6 seasons from now. Like Juve have done with Del Piero, AC Milan have done with a lot of players over the years, like Makelele did etc.

Future Captains? My first choice would be Agger if he can keep up his current injury-free run, he is a fantastic captain for Denmark, and have the experience and enough time at the club. Alternative would be Pepe (although not a big fan of GK captains) or perhaps Lucas can grown in to the roll?

But it's tenacity with a smile on his face, I want my captain to go through somebody because they were giving it some in the tunnel. I'd agree with your point about organisation though.

****ing hell I'd forgotten about that goal against Marseille! Imagine if Rooney had scored that, Sky would have cum in their pants.

How do you think we would look to nuture him Darkon? Restrict his position, his number of performances or just ensure he continues his pilates?

What do people make of his last injury? Just an injury that he has now overcome, or an injury that has a timescale involved?
