I really don't understand the fascination with football teams visiting USA. Every one of them wants to 'break the market' but I always think of it as a Beer Festival being sent to Saudi Arabia. It might happen elsewhere but they're just not interested thanks very much.

Millions of supporters here. The difference is we're a country of 300+ Million and football is the 4th tier sport. Still, lots of money to be made here, we have security and stadia that have good infrastructure and its more low key for the players. No one will be mobbing them anywhere, they can go about their business; loads of players love it here for that reason. I don't think a pre-season tour will ever "launch the game" here, but there is huge support for football.

Its kind of like trying to get us English excited about the IPL. Big money, big players, big competitions. But at the end of the day its just not gonna happen regardless of the 'huge' support for football in the US.

South America and/or Asia is a better option for the summer.
