You are most definitely not safer now than before. The only crime rate in London that has lowered in the last 10 years is homicides; knife crime, gun crime, robbery, ABH and GBH have all increased significantly.

its not just a london thing though. I've lived in London for 5 years now, yet when I go back for a night out in my old sleepy leafy village in cambridgeshire I have noticed the difference. Gangs of 14-18 years old ready to put the boot or worse in when they spot someone walking home alone they don't know. madness. according to my friends back there, quite a few knife instances and some portugese chaps have even bought some guns in.

All I can say is thank **** I'm 35 and married and rarely go out on the lash anymore. Growing up now is ****e. Makes me worried about bringing kids into the world.

Anyone caught carrying a knife should have a bollock removed.

i live in London for the last 4 years or so....i have lived in Crouch End (N8) and currently Fulham (SW6) - both areas were reasonibly safe although crouch end's nearest tube is Turnpike Lane / Wood Green which was sometimes dodgy.....i've also walked back there from White Hart Lane stadium one night and i had genuine fear for my wellbeing.......

To be honest, i think the social problems are going to keep growing organically. I think the country is full of scumbags and i know that we all agree that they should be beaten up themselves and have their nuts chopped and all that but they are like rats man....they will come out from everywhere anyway.

The problems are deeper than that. We live in a society where 2 professional people who work their nuts off end up living next door to a couple of wasters..... where is the justice in that?!?! Over generations, this spirals out of control across society....the sense of entitlement in the UK is crazy to be honest.......

So you're saying that hard working people should be entitled to live away from 'wasters'?
                Oh I don't know.

                  yes and no....

I'm saying that "wasters" shouldn't have an excuse to be wasters......and there should be genuine goals and opportunities for people to better themselves.....people need to have a reason to be motivated.....i think that benefit culture is the root of a lot of social problems in society....

Gutted to hear that the LFC fan went out to watch the reds, had a few scoops and never came home......RIP.....YNWA...

Delighted they've caught the scumbags already.

Dom9? Saw a Very detailed report on That Underground incident the other day - Turns out? The Girl wasn't stabbed as you first thought - In actual fact? She was pushed on the tracks by that nutter After a row with him over a hat of All things I think & successively missed the electricfied tracklines & near certain death by inches, cut herself deeply in the side On the tracks when she hit them And missed any trains going by which would almost certainly have finished her off also & horrifically so. Anyhow - Afterwards? She was lifted to safety & checked by passers by & the nutter was wrestled down & held by staff & passers-by until apprehended. The Poor Woman Did as you say have a fairly deep cut to her side but? She Was not stabbed by all accounts instead getting it when she struck the tracks at an angle from a fairly steep height.

That's just as well actually; Since If she Had been stabbed & then later cut herself on the tracks? There's likely no Way on this Earth she'd have survived so we should be thankful for Small mercies I suppose. Some people - I just think they.....No I'm sorry words fail me on that Individual who pushed her they Really do - Utterly despicable but in London nowadays? Far from surprising & worse still? On the rise more's the pity. God only knows What might happen next like this - I almost dread to think since in London? Anything can happen at anytime nowadays & more often than not now? Usually does. Just helps illustrate why I steer clear of that City as far as possible most of the time - Far to dangerous these days since you never know What might happen or when. Had a gutful of London myself years ago living not to far from it - As I said? Stay away most of the time now & looking at this? Rightly so.................

Finally? RIP to the deceased Reds Fan from the Final. Another one who went the game & never came back due to circumstances Far beyond his control - Just glad they Caught the scum who did it so soon unlike in certain other such well-publicised cases involving our fans. YNWA mate. You'll be sadly missed...........

This is one of the most difficult posts to read I've ever read

I don't understand why you post like this, but I quite like it

I live in London BTW, it's not nearly as bad as people who don't live here think it is

                                RIP Alex Jarmay
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
