The thing is with no Carroll Downing isnt really going to have anyone to aim at with crosses, can see him cutting inside and trying to shoot a lot today.

As long as the fullbacks are bricking it, then that will help us and help Downing create an attacking opportunity.

Imo it is type of game that Carroll and Bellamy could really make a difference.

I thought Carroll would be nailed on to start this. Can't see too many areas where goals will come from. Luis & Dirk maybe, perhaps Adam? Beyond those 3, there's very little proven goal threat in our side.

Why would Adam not be the most advanced of the 3 CMs? Having him hold limits him going forward & he's more of a creative/goal threat than Hendo. Plus if you play Henderson deeper alongside Jay, Henderson actually has the engine to get up and down the park. Adam doesn't have the legs/stamina.

I always thought than Henderson's best role is actually there. He's a tidy passer of the ball and he'll keep the midfield together with Jay.

I think Henderson lacks the steel for the more central role, at least Adam will get his kit dirty; he just needs to learn when to put his foot in. I think the more attacking role suits Henderson's quick passes, whilst Adam has the range from deeper.
