Yup. It's a ****ing farce that you can have internationals halfway through the season - the August & November ones being the biggest pisstake.

I don't see Gerrard retiring before the Euros at the earliest.

Also I don't know if this would be a factor but Gerrard is currently on 90 England caps would he want to get 100? Only 5 players at present have 100+ England caps (although Gerrard, Lampard and Ashley Cole are currently on 90+) so it would be quite an achievement.

This would mean him carrying on beyond the summer as with the current schedule England have 2 warm up games and 3 group games, there could be up to 3 more knockout games if they made it to the final (unlikely), assuming Gerrard plays in all of them he would be on between 95 and 98 caps by the end of the tournement...

"Dalglish says he doesn't know the extent of Gerrard's injury but refuses to criticise Stuart Pearce for playing him last night," she tweets. Massive boost to Arsenal if Gerrard and Agger are out. Terrible news ****ing gutted! Getting back to full match fitness he was always gonna pick up niggles like this but it's such a crucial game & with Agger definitely out it's a huge blow to us.

It's only a freindly, pretty sure he could've got out of it. Come summer, Gerrard. Terry, Rio, Lampard and Rooney will all be at the Euro's, whether or not they play any football between now and then.
