He was good against a Brighton side who didn't close us down, he was awful against Cardiff though. While he has improved he is still way below the quality of a player we need and he is still very limited.

You can only play against the teams you're put up against. And to be fair, Suarez had a poorer game than Carroll against Cardiff. Carroll caused them no end of trouble when he played against Arsenal for Newcastle and he deserves an opportunity to do that today, in my opinion.

This isn't about AC today though; it's about Kelly, Carragher, Spearing and Suarez with Henderson and Downing needing to put in a good effort. Get that all right and the rest will be a formality

I don't think he did, Suarez offered more of a threat, caused more problems for their defenders and could have gotten a goal for Carroll but for Carroll's complete lack of positional intelligence, anticipation and movement.

Nothing of interest out of Fowler yet except to slightly criticise Carroll for waiting for the ball and not being on the move for it. He's not alone in that opinion though eh

Whilst I didn't/don't rate Pardew that highly, if you look at what he has done this season versus Kenny this season, Kenny's future at LFC for me is on a wire.

He has improved from utter sh*te to poor which is a good positive increase but anyone can see watching him how limited he is and lack of basic skills that even great players out of form still show. He needs to keep his big gob shut and get stuck in. I'm sick of watching him falling over and telling the ref to f**k off. I don't like him, don't rate him - never have, never will.

He is rubbish and I'm sticking with that. I am 100% confident you will all agree in a year or so when he leaves for a 1/7th of what we paid.

I would love to be proved wrong though!

I've posted before on Carroll and the transition he is going through and don't have the time to repeat myself, but I don't think he's lacking in the fundamental skills to play the game, I think he is learning a new style and is changing the areas of the pitch he is occupying.

We need to show a little patience, in my opinion.
