It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

I thought he was 27. He would be well worth a punt though.

He turned 28 in the last couple of months.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

i think they'll turf kenny out at the end of the season with no CL

combination of finishing 6th and the handling of whole suarez affair will be the end of him imho.

          shame

FSG are running this club as a business, would it be sensible business to give more funds to a manager who has seemingly squandered nearly 80 million pounds on mediocre dross in the space of 8 months ??

Ok, cliche-a-tron 3000 here, but any transfers come with an element of risk. Carroll was a massive risk and as yet it hasn't paid off. To not sign someone because of past indiscretions isn't really a reason not to strengthen the squad though.

We will spend big this Summer I'd guess, FSG don't want their investment to continue devaluing, however I can't envisage astute businessman like FSG giving Dalglish tens of millions to spend again considering how most of his signings have turned out.
There are 2 options - Ask Kenny to step aside at the end of the Summer or keep Kenny as manager but give Commolli complete control over transfers from now on.

But how much input did Commolli have to the signings previously?

All this about not giving Kenny more money because he 'squandered' hundreds of millions....

                        First, it's £40m net spend.

Second - the only majorly thing wrong with the side is the inability to convert chances. We're the better side most games, we've dominated plenty of games and we've been actually outplayed about 3 times all season.

So the bulk of that team is clearly doing something right - which doesnt correspond with the idea that Kenny ****ed up in the market. The bit that hasnt worked as well as we need it to, has been Carroll - and even now he isnt being given a proper run in the side.

To say Kenny's ****ed up in the market, when his team has ONE significant flaw in it that is, granted, costing us, seems a heck of an exaggeration.

Tough question, the whole relationship between KD and DC in regards to transfers is slightly murky. When FSG do an end of season investigation I'm sure they'll find out the truth and act accordingly.

today for instance we were by far the better side but our finishing is terrible that needs addressing but the football we are playing is very good.

In fairness except Suarez (his goal production may not warrant that) and Enrique all his other signings (Bellamy doesn't count as he is freebie) have been poor thus far to say at least.

We didn't spend pocket change of cash but tons of money (net or gross who gives a ****, money is money) and the return on the investment at this point is negligible.

Simply it is not good enough.

We still haven't addressed the striker issue, still need AM and possibly box-to-box mid and a wide player and we spent in acccess of 75m thus far on the same types of footballers.

The bottom line is we need to spend again and improve.

We are 2,3 first team players short and in summer imo we'll have to go after either proven quality or top notch potential if we have aspirations of seriously contending for CL spot.

Our competitors will all strengthen and we must do the same.

Kenny needs to be allowed to spend but our approach to signing players cannot be based solely on ****ing moneyball system as it doesn't work the same way as in baseball.
