Surely a team 7th in the league is going to have been the better team in most games more often than not.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostOf course 'most games' is a good measure. I'd rather play well 30 games out of 38 even if we dont get the rewards, because i know that within the realms of likely logic, you'll get rewarded more often than not. As opposed to playing well 10 games out of 38 and somehow fluking points when we've been **** - because i know that doesnt last.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

and you think that makes our team worthy of a top four place (minus the striker/conversion issue). I don't think that follows tbh. As utd show, playing **** for most of most games can be equally successfull.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostWell ok, to be more specific, out of 26 league games, we've been outplayed no more than about 3 or 4 games.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

But he has spent £100m.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostYou wouldnt have spent £30k though, would you?
Hence Kenny hasnt spent £100m.
It doesn't matter whether it was new money or from players sales, thats what he's spent.
If the argument is that the owners haven't spent £100m of their own money then yes.We come not to play.

Yeah, cos picking something which is an anomoly is really equivalent to good judgement and a realistic barometer to go byOriginally posted by Kenneth View Postand you think that makes our team worthy of a top four place (minus the striker/conversion issue). If you dont see why net spend is a far more accurate thing to measure by, then we dont really have a conversation hereOriginally posted by Imy View PostBut he has spent £100m.

i would have spent 30k if i'd sold the car elsewhere rather than doing a part exchange and 30k had actually passed through my hands, yes.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostYou wouldnt have spent £30k though, would you?

and the relevant thing here is if you sell your car for 15k and buy one worth 30k that's not much better than what you had before, that's kind of a waste. you sell your car, you have 30k in your hand. so buy a car that's worth the money. this isn't rafa after years of having to trade up and cut costs. in rafa's wildest dreams we couldn't have spent this kind of money unless we'd sold players worth twice as much. this is a new manager building a squad. we have not got value for our money. what do you think the guys we bought in summer would sell for today? keep in mind they have most of their careers ahead of them aside from bellamy, we're not moving on has beens. i think we'd be doing good to get half back on what we laid out for our big ticket players. adam and enrique, fair enough they are worth what we paid. but the others? one year into their contracts and worth half what we paid. some of them may come good at some point, and i hope they do. but at the moment it looks bad. that's some serious depreciation.dave of mutilation
