I do wonder about Kenny - was last season just 'new manager syndrome', when the team is so grateful to get a new manager that there is an upsurge in results and performances? It seemed that as soon as he could rip up the template for how we played last season, he did just that. And signed dross.

Thing is, we have now very little to help us attract players of the top calibre and I have next-to-no confidence in the current scouting/management team to find them. The way we play is painful and archaic and there are too many poor performances. We have largely signed woeful players for exorbitant fees. We need a manager whose name can attract players from all over Europe and Dalglish is not that man.

Gotta say that I want Rafa back...never wanted the fella to go.

He has been one of our most consistant performers and we finally have LB position sorted.
i disagree, he's constantly giving the ball away, tries to be to clever in dangerous defensive positions, and just simply does not overlap and leaves his wide player isolated. he does from time to time go a good run down the left flank but it's not enough and not often enough, his crossing could do with some work too.

he's a good lb, but has really gone of the boil recently in a major way.

          Defensively he's been rock solid.

I do agree that offensively he tries too much and holds onto the ball little too long but that aspect of his game he can improve.

LB area is not one of our problems.

A box to box mid, an attacking midfielder, a wide player and a striker are.

On the over lapping bit. If its Downing is ahead of him on the left he passes to downing, over laps him and gets a return pass while the most over rated winger in the league just stands there and admires Enriques run. Its happened alot this season.

You have to fear for Kenny with that form.

Probably because Enrique can 'slip through the radar' easier. (Not that I'm defending Downing - he's quite hapless)

memory might be a bit hazy and might be a bit down after today but there have been more often or not some right poor performances

We have been poor 3 or 4 times this season

most of the others we deserved more from
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Carroll actually looked like he'd started putting a run of form together, and all of a sudden he's dropped - why? 55 million pounds we spent on him and Downing and both were on the bench. Speaks volumes really doesn't it.
Carroll being dropped has mystified me

Not what I wanted to hear

Dalglish told the BBC after the game, “I think it was a frustrating afternoon for everyone. It was a high tempo game and was always going to be a bit of fortune that won it.

“We reacted well when we went behind, but sometimes you just don’t get the bounce of the ball. I think we played as well as them.

“There wasn’t much in it at all, we tried to get something out of it but we were playing a team that’s on a good run. Sometimes you get the luck, sometimes you don’t.

“We’ll move onto the next game and it would be nice to see some good fortune.”
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

To be honest I don't really buy the bad luck, we deserved more stuff. Our position in the table IMO is a true reflection of how we have played this season.
