I think we need to identify what has happened between the second half of last season when we actually played some lovely football and this season's alehouse ****.
What worries me is what we're teaching the youth teams. What happens when they step up to the first team? Will they just flow seamlessly or will they have to adapt to **** tactics and methods of play?
I really thought this would be an easy match for us but alas we are ****ed again.
I'm beginning to wonder if we should knock on Rafa's door again and ask how he's improve Carroll's game (like he did with Torres) etc.
Other than that I feel that our history is a millstone just as the England position is. Too much expectation for managers to be patient and build. Rafa was that person but he got ****ed over by H&G. FSG would be perfect partners for him.
Sorry Kenny but I think you should look at what your plans are and if they're working out because it doesn't look like it to me.
I hope I don't get banned for doubting Kenny but I just can't see what he's trying to do. He's behaving like someone who has at the last minute been asked to manage Liverpool knowing that the reigns will be given to someone else at any time. Was muß, das muß.

For me he is decent 1 touch pass and move footballer, has an engine and is pretty good at ball retention but lacks in most of other areas.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostCheers Mostar. On the plus side, he's good a bringing the ball under control and his one touch passing technique is decent.
Overall though, just a bucket full of meh.
Young he is and will improve but imo we are to be blamed that our midfield options are so limited that he plays regularly.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Thanks for the video Mostar.
From that, it is evident to me that he needs to play in a 4-3-3. He breaks into space, links up play and makes some passes into key areas, although not all the time.
His positioning in attacking areas isn't great though. He seems happy just to stand there and wait for the ball, which is an area he can improve on.
He could well be the midfielder that breaks from the central areas into attacking areas of the pitch, not like Lampard, but similar to Iniesta (as I've said before, a hyperbole comparison).

I know CraigOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostMostar - we need game changers, matchwinners, 'make a difference' players.
We beat this drum in the summer until we penetrated it and made a hole in it. The drum doesnt work anymore. Neither does our team.

You made that very same point numerous times and it is becoming glaringly obvious that we are just not good enough to truly move forward without few top notch footballers that can single-handedly influence the game outcome.
I hope we learnt our lessons and we will be much smarter in the transfer market this summer.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
