Don't think Kenny gives a monkeys what the press says so he'd tell them straight if there was a big issue with the lad. He's been on fire for us, so I'm gutted he's not fit right now. Imo big loss as our bench offensively without him looks pretty unconvincing.

Downing cannot hide today.

To be fair he had some very good crosses from the left that we failed to convert.

He doesn't offer same type of contribution on the right.

Yes but they are few and far between and occasionally they'll look good when they are just too high or just unreachable or there is no one there (which imo means it ain't a good cross).

Agreed he's a big asset coming off the bench. Liable to cause some serious damage when he's on. Downing has been ok in the past few games imo, but he's not proved his £20 mil worth at all this season. Needs to step it up.
