United were after Adam but they came in late in January (2011) and by then Adam had decided he had his heart set on and that he had given his word that he was going to LFC

They tried again in the summer but again he wouldnt change his mind

Thats coming from someone who knows the Adam (family) and they (his family) are United supporters so I see no reson to disbelieve it

I don't have the technical knowledge to figure out exactly what's going on or more specifically what happened last night but I'll say this:

1. We can't rely on Suarez to do ****in everything and then when he doesn't complain about him. His finishing leaves a lot to be desired but the good he does and the drive he gives us outweighs this.
2. Don't rate Carroll at all and have no idea what he shows in training but ffs he needs a run of a few games instead of this one on one off bollox. Either **** him off altogether and use him as an imopact 70 minute sub or play him. He might even start scoring.
3. I like Enrique a lot but I think I know what his problem is - he's prone to awful momentary lapses of concentration. Just seems to zone out and appears to completely forget his job the odd time.
4. Downing is improving a lot.
5. I can't make out whther our football is absolutely breathtaking at times or whether we are a bit Arsenalish trying to fancy dan it into the net too much.
6. We are mentally fragile. Abysmally so.
7. Our run isn't being helped by the absence of Agger and the presence of Carra.

Craig certainly agrees with point 6.

I'll take that with a very large pinch of salt, I'm sure he'd be there now if Utd had wanted him.

Maybe he holds Kenny in high regard?

Maybe he thought he'd learn from Gerrard?

Maybe he thought he'd function better in our system?

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that a player would choose us over United.

Adam is ok, but just that and nothing more really. Easy to say Utd dodged a bullet etc, but as a squad player Adam can do a decent enough job. Who knows, maybe the new boys have needed this time to settle in, which makes a mockery of the buy British policy IMO.

I just hope in the Summer we add genuine quality. That plus 1 seasons experience for teh likes of Downing, Adam and Henderson should bode well for next season.

In fact I'd say they have been carried by their senior players and players who have come through the ranks
