Shows us how badly we've missed Lucas.

Priority needs to be a finisher. Lucas is good enough to anchor midfield. This will free up Gerrard and/or Henderson in the middle. Play Suarez in the withdrawn striker role and get a finisher to play as a proper striker (a la Fowler/Rush).

Second priority is width. We need to improve on both flanks.

Then we can think about reinforcing midfield/defence.
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

It is not a striker only that we need. We need another attacking mid, box-to-box midfielder and a wide player that can play inside.

Although I do think we need to make it a priority in the Summer,
a missing striker was not the reason we lost last night..

We need more than a striker that's for sure

            Yup.

We need a poacher, a holding midfielder and / or a box-to-box midfielder and at least one wide man. Preferably two.

anyone who honestly thinks that any of those names are coming to us is delusional.

IMO, 4th is gone and what i'd like to see is some continuity and balls from our players. Even if we can finish the league strongly and god forbid win the FA Cup "maybe" we'll look more attractive to potential transfers.... maybe.

But realistically we are going to have to look for talent off the radar. Obviously likes of Falcao,Higuin,Cavani etc ain't gonna happen. For me a poacher off the radar would be Giuseppe Rossi is a quality goal poacher, very Fowleresque IMO. Just getting back from serious knee injury and if he can get back to the player he was he would be exactly what we need a fox in the box. I like Soldado aswell.

For creativity & talented young players Hazard,Gotze,Reus,Eriksen etc IMO ain't gonna happen either. Jovetic has been mentioned, still 22 and a superb talent playing in a very poor Fiorentina side, IMO he will definitely make a move in the summer.

We really need to pull one or two out of the bag aswell. Another interesting question is who should we sell?

Conceding goals isn't the problem, we've got the 3rd best defence in the Premiership ( it was the second until last night ) Its not conceding goals thats causing the problem, its scoring them.

Even though collectively our defence is very strong and didn't allow too many goals I don't think Pepe has been as good this season as he had been in the past.

Way too many soft goals, poor positioning and errors for a goalkeeper of his caliber.

Yes you might be right there about Pepe.. not one of his best seasons.

My original point was though if we had a 20 + a season striker who's going to convert just the chances we've created at home it would make a huge difference. We've had 8 draws at home this year either 0-0 or 1-1 that's potentially 16 dropped points at home.

I really believe that were just a 20+ goal striker away from a very good side, ( as long as key players like Lucas and Gerrard can be fit for a whole season ) it really is just very fine lines and margins....
