    Wigan build up thread

The feverish anticipation is building as Saturday's clash with Wigan Athletic draws nearer.

It's my turn on Saturday unfortunately and I haven't seen a home win all season.

    Hopefully Bellamy's fit.

I'd be tempted to do the irrational thing and chuck the kids in for this. That would be foolish though.

All of them yes I'd certainly be tempted to start Shelvey, and maybe have another youngster on the bench.

Don't let Adam, Downing or Carroll anywhere near the matchday squad, play some youngsters/reserves & we might actually get 3 points for a change...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Yeah, I suppose that would be the most sensible move. No idea what our current injury situation will be like at the weekend (Bellamy, Johnson & Kelly) - we know Lucas and Agger are out. I'd go something like:

          Reina
          Flanagan Skrtel Coates Enrique
          Henderson Gerrard Shelvey
          Maxi Carroll Suarez

          Or something like that.

Not sure we can get a result against a team with Hendry Thomas... let's hope for the best.

                    Downing is ****ing playing well.

He could score a hat-trick in the next game and play like Messi and it wouldnt please some people. Jesus.

Would love to see Coates start.

He needs games and now that we are not playing for top 4 any more there is no reason not to play him ahead of Carra.

Aye I want to see Coates start too.

If Kelly cant play Id like us to play Flanno as well.

                          Strongly disagree here.

                          He is not playing well.

He plays slightly better than what he did over the majority of the season but imo that isn't good enough to keep his place in the starting lineup.

I'd play Bellamy over him any day, every day.

I think he's been the better in a bad bunch if I'm honest Mos.

His running at players has got a lot better and his crosses are now beating the first man. We are also seeing him get a lot more space and he does have a good shot on him.

He still isn't at the level he should be but the improvement is there to see.
