That's the problem really, people can say Carroll's no good but he certainly wont produce what we want him to produce by not being given a chance to play.

I'm more of that way of thinking Craig, for sure. I think its criminal that he looked like he was forcing his way into some semblance of looking like a player, to going back to being effectively a squad member.

For the £35m outlay, its quite shocking. The club are turning him into the worse signing ever by not persevering.

Surely he'd be frozen out completely though? Rather than just put on the bench and called upon in the 2nd half?

Options or not, if Carroll's done something seriously wrong, enough for Kenny to not pick him, he'd not put him on the bench either.

If it's a serious breach of discipline or suchlike, then it's that simple.
