What do people think are the chances of an appeal against Doni's sending off being successful? Personally I can't see it, but Brad Friedel had one against us overturned a couple of years ago, but I don't see the FA doing us any favours.

As some have pointed out the appeal doesn't have to be successful, if the process of appealing can delay the ban, but I think the FA would be wise to that. According to Sky we have until lunchtime to decide if we're going to appeal or not. IMO it'd be stupid not to appeal, the worst that could happen is they add extra games to his ban, but Reina will be back by then so it doesn't matter.

If we appeal Doni's card then it'll get reviewed before the game. Think the FA changed the rules this season where you can't delay it in order to get the player to play the next game.

Na not really. Imagine if the club went and didn't field a reserve keeper on the bench. Jones gets injured/red carded, we field an outfield player as goalie at Wembley, because we couldn't be arsed putting a reservie on the bench? And THEN imagine we'd lose the game due to a goalkeeping error (or even if not), you'd NEVER hear the end of it.
