I bet it's not quite as clear cut as that. They are backing Kenny 100% in public, but I'd bet in private he's been warned results need to improve quickly.

Once again FSG have shown they're not afraid to make the big decisions

its a fair point. i think thats a veiled threat at kenny's position and if we lose tomorrow then who knows.

Very much agree.............although it would have to be considered very delicately.

We lost a bucket load because of **** negotiation and yes he should have been sacked for that. my guess is that kenny wanted to know the budget for the close season and when he was told 10m he probably blew his top.

then the fingers started pointing and everyones pinkies were ultimately pointing at comolli. so he had to go by default.
We got the £50m for Torres - if you think back to transfer day and everyone knew Torres was off, did you think at the end of that day we were better or worse off with bringing Carroll in?

Personally I thought it was good business.. and still do...

Kenny is keeping his position but Ayre will have his role changed. Academy being assessed now.

Ayre moving back to Commercial Director seems sensible to me

Also im now convinced that Kenny will be relieved of his position either at the end of the season or after the cup game if we lose to Everton.

Im certain we will go for a younger european manager. Someone like Klopp

Think Martinez may have an outside chance too

They've said we've got enough talent on the pitch to win and are dissatisfied about not winning, yet go on to say about the man in charge of that talent:

Does Damien Comolli's departure have any impact upon Kenny Dalglish's position as manager?

Absolutely not. We've got great confidence in Kenny. We feel the team is going to make strides in the future and he enjoys our full support.
That sounds like a free pass to me.

I'm not asking for Kenny to be sacked during the season (which would be catastrophic before the semi), or even after it - his position should be reviewed though, but there is a disconnect between parts of the reasoning Werner is putting forward.

Would be a ridiculous time to remove him if that is what they plan to do. They do seem unimpressed though.

Exactly, so its pretty clear they haven't given the manager a free pass. Personally I wouldnt like our owners warning our manager via our official website but it's each to their own. Werner doesn't exactly say "He'll be here next season" either.

no mate. i think we panicked and paid £20m for carroll than he was worth. I think thats what got him the sack.

there hasnt been a big target man in history that has gone for ludicrous amounts of money. somehow we paid the toppest dollar for andy and we will not see him ever live up to that billing.

if we had bought him for £15m and then he started banging in the goals we might have see his value rise to that sort of level but not beyond.
