Interesting to see Dein was at Ewood on Tuesday as well as at Anfield on saturday (reportedly)

Warner talks about Ayre being there to raise revenue when speaking about Commolli. I thought Ayre did more than that, at least the last few months.
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

One phrase from Werners comments makes me think thats not the case

We're hard at work identifying transfer targets and we will be better next year.

This coupled with the rumours elsewhere that they had a team meeting today that included the owners who announced the club would be going back to what it use to do ie buy the best players available

He also said no significant changes in the senior management

Surely bringing in a CEO and moving your Managing Director to one side is a significant change

the player meeting has been interesting. Apparantly Werner has told the players that the club is going back to where we belong, we will be bringing in the best players etc etc. FSG very unhappy with league performances. trying to get more info

The rest of the medical team to follow, apparently.
I will stress though the other two names mentioned to me earlier were not medical people though

Remains to be seen whether that spot of info is right though

                  pretty big change.

it shows that fsg have learned a thing or two. when they appointed comolli as DOF we all raised eyebrows because he was a glorified chief scout.

Ian ayre is in a conflicted position imo. he should be making judgements about whats best for the club but because hes close to the current manager he cant do that. Therefore, its much easier for him to focus on non-footballing activities and get on with trying to raise the commercial revenue streams of the club.

the CEO will be focused purely on football and nothing else. he's in charge of all playing staff inc recruitment, managers, coaching and support staff. You dont need ian ayre getting involved with things that hes not qualified to deal with.

This way, if theres an issue with footballing matters, the CEO calls the shots, and if theres a problem with off field matters the commercial director deals with things. But the two dont need to be doing each others jobs.

That Gunga Din was pretty accurate about the stadium wasn't he.
                    Oh I don't know.

I think this is a great move by the club. You spend the kind of money LFC spent and get the players/ performances we got from those players and he had to go. I don't know if KD was responsible for targeting players that DC signed or how it went down, but this seems to affirm my belief that Comolli was not the right person to be evaluating talent for our club.

I dont think Ayre is CEO material

I said that when he was appointed

He did wonders with our commercial department though

However Werner seems to state that we wont be making significant changes so I dont expect a CEO to come in sadly
