I would certainly imagine it was a contributing factor at least.Originally posted by Lecter View PostI'm not sure I believe that rumour specifically but I suspect that Comolli's sacking was related to January and the failure to land playersTrey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Assuming my theory is true I wonder how much of a get out of jail card that could be for KennyOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostI would certainly imagine it was a contributing factor at least.
Or did Kenny out and out use him as a human shield

Comollis negotiating skills seems questionable at best, we paid way over the odds for Downing and Carroll. In fact Newcastle seem to have sold us Carroll and Enrique and bought themselves a **** hot team with the proceeds, leaving plenty of £'s to spare.
FSG must wonder why we (a supposedly bigger team) spent £35m on Carroll, when Cissa and Ba have performed way better than big AC for a fraction of the cost.
As for getting out manouvered by Everton for Jelavic, well he should have walked if that were true.Modifying post.

Comolli just did an interview with Fox Soccer Report apparently, someone tweeted this about it:
Just listened to the Comolli interview on Fox Soccer
1) Thinks that DoF role is still useful in England
2) Made a mistake on a player that was "mentally" not strong enough. Any guesses?
3) Every transfer, no matter how much effort is put in, can be a failure.
