Buzzo CJ just send me your details and I can have a look for you guys. You can do it on here or send it to me via pm or email.
This can be done for anyone. im sorry for fernando but he wont reach those heights again where he was the worlds top striker for probably 3 years. Those periods only come around once and thats if youre lucky which most of the top players are. Again if theyre lucky the best periods come at a decent age. Others peak too soon and others peak much later or for short periods.
In a football sense you would rather invest in players whos peak comes during the age of 21 to 25.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Havn't posted much about the match due to a hungover, flu and generally a bit down from the result yesterday.
Anyways thought we deserved better, especially after the second half. We outplayed Chelsea for that entire period and created enough to win it or at least get the in to ot. We were punished by Chelsea, taking their chances (as they have been good at lately) without them creating anything really. An error from Reina - should have saved the shot, and one from Spearing sealed it really.
Andy really made a difference yesterday, good to see. Thought Suarez was closed down well by Chelsea yesterday, hardly got on the ball. Especially in the first half it was clear that closing him down as the only striker was to easy for Chelsea. IMO we need to stop playing Suarez as a lone striker and free him up a bit by having Carroll next to him or move Suarez out as an inside forward.
The inital idea from us playing a 5 man midfield to battle Chelsea's seemed like a good idea, but we were just overpowered in there. Seemed like the right thing to do, and if we had a stronger CM than Spearing and Henderson I believe it would have worked.
Still disappointed today (and ill), but it was great to see LFC back in a final again, it's been to long since we last stood with the chance of winning trophies.

After a couple of days to reflect.
Reina cost us and needs to sort himself out or we'll have to get another keeper, he has cost us a lot of games this season.
Carroll was brilliant, he is the one we need to build the team around, Suarez is too much of a free spirit to build a team around.
Kenny got it wrong, wrong team, wrong tactics and didn't change it early enough, hindsight is wonderful but I'd be amazed if any Liverpool fan didn't think that Carroll for Spearing had to happen at half time.
Turned a passable season into am****e one and puts the spotlight back on our **** league form. The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I do wonder whether we should aim for a 433 formation next season.
Carroll the focal point; with Suarez playing from an advanced left position, and a new **** hot player in the advanced right position.
Bellamy can cover any of those positions.
We can then have Lucas sitting deep, with Gerrard and a one other slightly more advanced.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1
Curtis Julian Jones Fanclub #1

I think it should be one of the things we aim for more. Ideally we would return to a more fluid team behind the main front man. For me one of the problems with our signings has been that they seem to naturally favour/fit a more rigid 4-4-2 (or 4-2-3-1) model.Originally posted by Rich View PostI do wonder whether we should aim for a 433 formation next season.

I agree, if you look at what we have already then it seems obvious, spine of Reina (hopefully with a kick up the ass) Skrtel, Agger, Lucas, Carroll.Originally posted by Rich View PostI do wonder whether we should aim for a 433 formation next season.

Give Suarez licence to roam and come from deep or wide positions, buy someone with pace and the ability to go past players 1 on 1 to play from the other side.
Gerrard in midfield to the right of Lucas, ideally buy an upgrade to start in there leaving Henderson and Adam as back up, Shelvey out on loan for another season.
Downing, Bellamy, Sterling as back up for the wider positions.
We would also need a back up/competition to/for Carroll so the system stays the same if he is injured or off form. The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

That is true. I remember questioning the signing of Downing and thinking about apart from providing crosses for Carroll to feed to he wouldn't be doing much apart from that. He's one dimensional. It was a real strange signing, an un-Kenny like signing to be honest. I can't believe Kenny signed him.Originally posted by dww View PostI think it should be one of the things we aim for more. I think at times in the last coule of seasons he has looked to be developing better balance (playing well in CM at Villa for example). One of the most frustrating things this season though as been how unwilling he is to run inside after passing to Enrique or drive towards goal.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostThat is true. I agree though he seems a bad fit for how we look to be trying to play. I think small changes to his game would make a massive difference but unlike Carroll there has been little/no evidence of him adapting or evolving as a player.
Adam is the one that seems the oddest choice to me though."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I can understand Adam. He's a good passer, sometimes excellent but doing it for a small team week in week out is different than doing it for a team like us. That's where most of our signings have failed IMO - bar Suarez and Carroll.Originally posted by dww View PostI think at times in the last coule of seasons he has looked to be developing better balance (playing well in CM at Villa for example). I think we've relied too much on facts and figures without using context and I do suspect that is why Comolli was sacked. Are we winning?

No idea about the stats thing and I'm pretty sure we have all played that debate out far too many times already.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostI can understand Adam. I think the problem with Adam though is more about the fact he is so static. He is a good passer and he has had some influencial games for us I just feel that to get the most out of him requires a lot of the team to be set up to accomodate his failings. To be a top team players need to make one another better, Adam seems a bit like the opposite to me. For me tactically he was the least suitable of the players coming in."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Yup. This is the flip side of the dilemma...
