I have read alot of commentary, and I think that Kenny had little choice other than to go with what he had. however quite clearly that is just not good enough. Spearing was there for a reason - to man mark Mata, but he couldnt get into another championship side to my mind. not good enough. He is in the right place at the right time for him. Not for supporters.
I read alot of comments about Carroll making an impact, but to be totally honest we looked better because Chelsea sat back to defend the two goal lead, and I think by doing that they were making us look good because suddenly we had time and space on the ball, something we didnt have in the first half.
Liverpools weakness is based on the fact that if you pressure our players they will concede possession. As soon as chelsea sat back, we had time space and there was less pressure.
Enrique was shocking today and his decline is strange as he was great earlier on. I think henderson and downing will come good next season. As far as Andy Carroll is concerned, I think we may just have a Kevin davies quality player, no more than that.
I see we are looking at Clint Dempsey or Darren bent. I hope to god this is not serious.
I'd give Kenny until Christams 2012 to at least demonstrate that things are changing. He can have an excuse that new players take time to bed in, but if it is still not working by Christmas and lets face it its been pretty dire this year, except for the cups, where we beat Cardiff City..., then we should as a club look if changes can't be made.
