Possibly, but Klopp is fantasy IMO, Bielsa would never work over here (according to Balague who spent this morning watching them train/interviewing Bielsa) and Rijkaard seems a long shot. Sure, Guardiola would unite us but there's no chance of that either.

Of the realistic candidates, I don't see anyone who wouldn't divide us to some degree.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yes his last season wasn't anything special, however we don't know half the ****e that was going on behind the scenes with Hicks & Gillette. We still made the Europa League semi finals on top of everything else & he genuinely loves the club & the city. For me there is only 1 person who has the proven credentials to get us out of this mess & that is Rafael Benitez - makes sense on so many levels...

It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

I agree, it was just to name some examples. But the point still stands with most other names that are more realistic.

The more time goes on the more scared I become that it's going to be Martinez.

When you think about it, we really are in a **** position. Remember when we appointed Rafa? His credentials were exceptional.

He was young & hungry and matched what the owners are looking for now. He had won two La Ligas against all odds. He had just won the UEFA cup - proving himself in Europe. His team had even given our own a master class at Anfield.

Look at the potential candidates now. It's a big worry if we rule out the older coach, as well as Rafa, Klopp and Guardiola.

If Martinez was a front runner, I imagine it could get wrapped up very quickly.

Hopefully the longer it goes on the more likely it will be a top candidate, till everyone turns us down and we are back to martinez

The only positive from the current situation is that the expectations of the fans are probably more in line with reality than it has been for years.
