Pre Season build up Thread

Just read that it was nearly 100 degrees yesterday.

****s sake no wonder it looked like we were running backwards. What a bloody stupid time to kick off and play in our black kit.

Its bloody grating the same daft things get said every preseason ..... Aqualani looks like he could do a job for us .... what the point of traveling abroad ... I'm worried about the season based on the fact that a team comprised of a configuration of players you will never see in the season ... bla bla bla ...

Pre Season is about fitness both physical and match, having a look at some young academy players in the Senior Set up and putting a few fringe players in the shop window ... people who dont get that deserve to be electrocuted via there mouses monumentally

it's also about team bonding & the new lads coming into the fold. The lads are together heaps during there time away & that's really important also. Having a new manager in helps him get to know who's who in the zoo as well. He'd learn more in this time than over a month or so if we were at home.

What is difficult is changing managers during a summer that involves the Euros and the Olympics. Players at those tournaments come back late and it gives little time to get across the message of how they must play in the new season.

Every game we've looked disjointed and for me this is because every game has been a first under Rodgers for some of the players in the line up.

Added to the different fitness levels of these players, in the intense heat, makes it very difficult.

We'll come up against some strong teams early on, the likes of the Manchester clubs are like well oiled machines and there is no doubt we'll struggle early doors in the season.

Hopefully us being at home will see us through though
