Argh, never saw Dexter. Missed the start of the first series and never went back to watch it. Shame though as it looked good from the adverts.

Might get it on Netflix or summat.

Mate trust me, it blitzes an any other series out there. Absolutely amazing. Prison Break was fantastic as were/are series such as Supernatural, Lost (**** ending though) etc. But Dexter is on a complete other level. It gets better with each series. And for all the butchering that goes on and the actual story lines, it's the actual narration that Dexter does over each episode which makes it worth watching. It's like a book. As I mentioned, his quotes are amazing and they can be quite insightful on your actual life.

It really doesn't. The first two series were fantastic, then the third was poor. The fourth was AMAZING (The one with the Trinity Killer). Five and six have both been pretty poor too

Love that show, but there's still much better shows on TV. I think they need to finish it soon before it really suffers.

I am literally going to cry the day Dexter finishes. But I honestly think it's got better with each series. The last series (the Dooms day killer one) had a great cliff hanger at the end. The actual main story lines in each series is not that great but I really enjoy the bits in and around the actual story line - things such as how he acts all stupid then BAM, he just flips and butchers someone. And as I mentioned I love the narration he does. There is many elements to each episode and it is quite deep.

Feel free to name some series you think are better - I need to find some new ones to watch. At the moment the only series I'm watching is Weeds as I'm up to date with the ones I normally watch.

Never heard of it. It seems it's been running for a few years. What's it about?

Agree to disagree then. I think you'd like Breaking Bad. If you've never tried The Wire you should, it's incredible. Those two are comfortably better than Dexter overall.

OK, I think we should let this thread get back on topic now

started off about an american high school football team. some big names in it and its pretty good too.

obviously they cant all be idiotic and stay in high school for seven years so the coach at the end of the first series got pinched to coach a university team so i guess there's a natural progression.

its on sky atlantic or something. But you have missed the entire first series.

                    birds are sweet too.

I started watching The Wire last year and finished it all off within 3 months. Whilst it is one of the best series of all time, I didn't enjoy it that much to be honest. IMO, it's quite overrated. I think I will give Breaking Bad a go - it has a rating of 9.4/10 on IMDB That is very high.

OZ was another series from back in the day that was amazing. A lot of the actors from OZ were in The Wire

It didn't sound interesting until I read your final line. I will download a few episodes and give it a go

Suarez returned to training on Monday after Uruguay’s efforts in London in the Olympic Games.
And he could now face Belarus minnows FC Gomel in Liverpool’s Europa League qualifier tomorrow, with them leading 1-0 from the first leg.

get in there. I hope he does play so he & Borini start to gel.

I'd expect the same starting X1 that BR wants to play v WBA but who do we think may lay in the friendly?
