Mate trust me, it blitzes an any other series out there. Absolutely amazing. Prison Break was fantastic as were/are series such as Supernatural, Lost (**** ending though) etc. But Dexter is on a complete other level. It gets better with each series. And for all the butchering that goes on and the actual story lines, it's the actual narration that Dexter does over each episode which makes it worth watching. It's like a book. It really doesn't. The first two series were fantastic, then the third was poor. The fourth was AMAZING (The one with the Trinity Killer). Five and six have both been pretty poor tooOriginally posted by saj View Post

I am literally going to cry the day Dexter finishes. But I honestly think it's got better with each series. The last series (the Dooms day killer one) had a great cliff hanger at the end. The actual main story lines in each series is not that great but I really enjoy the bits in and around the actual story line - things such as how he acts all stupid then BAM, he just flips and butchers someone. I started watching The Wire last year and finished it all off within 3 months. Whilst it is one of the best series of all time, I didn't enjoy it that much to be honest. IMO, it's quite overrated.
