Chelsea last season had - Stoke, West Brom, Norwich, Sunderland, Manc's & Swansea as their first 6 games and the year before West Brom, Wigan, Stoke, West Ham, Blackpool & City.

That is a massive help to get your season underway

but by adhering to the fabled policy of one game at a time and ensuring that the psychological internal environment and coaching/mentoring/brain washing etc of the entire group under the 'one team' plan that they intend to use, should produce players that are not as intimidated by the fixture list than not......

It never works like that. Manager use that saying to cool situations down, that could be Tottenham when they where 2nd.. Wigan when they where bottom or Us when we where nowhere!

Pressure builds, expectations come into play. Media get involved.

In an ideal perfect world that would be the case, sadly it doesn't work like this.

Can you see United having to come to Anfield in April? At the end of a title race?

True. Perhaps March, I just think we've been at Anfield first for a few seasons, folk don't want it looking obvious. Much like how we seemed to have a kicked off away for a ridiculous amount of times. Only when did we start twigging on, we kicked off at home.
