    Bloody Hell!

New signings to bed into the club and area, a new manager and system of play to introduce and adopt for the whole squad, and players returning from the Euros who would have had little time to take Rodgers' ideas on board fully - and we get last season's top 3 in our first half a dozen games! Those other clubs will have new signings but a stable management system - it's not even as if we got Chelsea, whose manager has 'only' had half a season to introduce his style of play!

All things considered, remaining undefeated over our first three games would not be the worst set of results in the world, but could still leave us hovering around the bottom 3 and playing 'catch up' (as the Sky muppets like to call it).

However, we are Liverpool - so bring it on!

That's a though start for Rodgers, but they are out of the way. Hope we get a decent return on them, could really ignite the season.

I'm more annoyed with the fact it will give us a though second half of the season with the away games.

Tony Gale really does talk utter bollocks.

Shocked we got West Brom although not surprised it's away. City, Mancs and Arsenal in the first 5 games of the season isn't easy

The first 6 games are a mix bag of games for us o be honest and i expect a mixed bag of results. I dont expect a fully changed way of playing yet for the players and i dont think rodgers will be trying to be playing 'swansea' style just yet.
I would expect him to start out with tactics the players are used to or comfortable with but with slightly more emphasis of keeping the ball.

That is a really tough start. Why can't we ever have a nice easy start to the season.

Might actually be a blessing though, If we accept we are not on there level yet and wont challenge for the title. Better to get those games out early while we are finding our feet.

Get them out of the way and hopefully as our team beds in we can beat the smaller teams we play after.

The big games against the big teams will normally be tight no matter waht

Really? I don't agree - if we had a few easy games to find our feet and get the team playing how the new Manager wants, then we would be better prepared and more likely to get something out of those games.

Yes but we might lose those 'easy' games which would lead to the big pressure on the big games.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other really

I'm with this point of view at the moment.

I'm more concerned with when our internationals get back because of the Euro's and the Olympics, which we'll lose Coates, Suarez and Bellamy.

If England continue to progress, then Johnson, Gerrard, Kelly, Henderson, Downing, Carroll will all need 3-4 weeks rest and we could do with them understanding the basics of Rodgers' philosophy early on.

i like it - if...a big if....we can hit the ground running and pick up say 7 points from those three games we'll be in a pretty good position - 3 massive games out the way early on with hopefully some points on the board.

If we can get ten points from our opening four games then I'd be delighted.

Chelsea seem to get a soft start to the season every season.
