Adam is not athletic enough to be a good player for us.

For a time, during our purple patch last season he was statistically the most athletic player at LFC, covered more ground, made more tackles etc ... think the assesments of him are wide off the mark ... I think the two goals 2nd half had as much to do with Lamela than our subs

I hope Rogers realises that the two problem positions of last season (forward, defensive midfielder) still need filling.
The kids are exciting but also not ready, too many experienced pro's are not good enough = We are no way near the top four.

We need to keep things in context because we probably had two first team players on each half 1st skrtel and enrique 2nd agger and lucas.

Going forward we looked very good at times and some of the passing was superb. weve got some work to do on a couple of big areas. Firstly how the pressing works and secondly the defensive shape after we lose the ball.

They are tactical things and its hard to grasp that quickly. It will probably take ten games before we are at the races but im happy with whats on show to date. I can see what.hes trying to do and this defeat doesnt bother me because we caused them plenty of problems too.

Once we understand the pressing better and get better at putting that into work we will get better. what.we do when we dont have the ball is very.important and only having one dm worries me after six seasons of rafas 2 holding men but im sure we will get used to it.

Lucas also immense. That 30 min cameo shows what a top draw player this lad is.

It also had a lot to do with Adam completely losing Bradley for the opener.

Fact of the matter is that we need much better players than him.

He is slow, lethargic and always gives away fouls. Lets see the statistic that he made most tackles. Everytime I see him going in for a tackle I cringe because I know hes going to be all over the player like a moth on a light-bulb and almost always gives away a foul it seems to me.

That makes no sense, i've already said that i don't think he should be playing as a deep lying CM. Just pointing out that the two were working well together before the Lucas injury.

What, Adam an attacking midfielder in the Gerrard role, bursting past defenders and setting up chances? Hhmm. What do we do when we haven't got the ball and are getting over-run in the middle of the park?

Why would you even want to move Adam when you say he was 'fantastic' next to Lucas? Why wouldn't you want to bring this fantastic' partnership back together?

Deep lying CM matt and he was fantastic with Lucas until Lucas injury, had a mare with Spearing as well both have no positional sense & sure he was injured for latter part of season too.

Have to have a bit of balance matt, as a squaddie and playing nearer to opposition goal he could be a very useful player imo.
