I think we played well all things considered. Anyone know the passing / possession stats?

I do think that we're going to see quite a lot of games like that over the next few months. Dominating possession for large spells but struggling to make the breakthrough. I also think we'll see us concede goals as a result of individual errors - sloppy passes, players caught in possession / out of position. It's important that we remember that we're on a learning curve this season. It's going to take a good while before our players get used to this new style, and it's going to take a while before the manager can properly assess the squad and mould it to fit what he wants. I think so long as we keep our expectations for this coming season in check, we could be in for a very enjoyable 9 months!

You have to remember that Spearing's feet are closer to his eyes than most people's are.

Suso and Pacheco showed why they should be in the first team squad, bags of talent and technique.

Lucas looks like he has lost a LOT of weight and needs to get his fitness back.

Adam is lazy ****ing ******* when he hasn't got the ball and it always out of position.

Aquilani spread the ball around well, but is a bit of a ****bag in the tackle.

Agger and Wilson had a mare when they came on. Enrique had a mare.

The rest were pretty none descript. Some good positive things from the game though, i would be VERY interested to see Suso, Aqua, Pacheco in the team with Suarez, Gerrard et al.

A centre back who isn't much good in the air isn't that much of a centre back really. Maybe he'll get better.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

That is because he is far better suited to being a RB.

Why do you say that? He's big, strong, quick, decent on the ball. Sure, he has some flaws in his game, but he's young and could be coached. Don't know why you've written him off as a centre back already

He could, but he really is not good in the air and that concerns me.

He has not played for Liverpool at centre back since he was a school boy - I don't understand why people keep saying he is a centre back! Is Carragher a striker who has been playing as a defender for the last 20 years
