IMO (nothing got to do with this one game)
- Eccelston not good enough
- Sterling should be loaned out, talented but raw and need regular footie
- Aqua should be sold on
- Spearing should be sold on
- Enrique may not be the answer to out LB problem

He can definitely have an impact still. I think he would be best kept around as an impact sub for now as he gets used to the first team, when we need a little spark.

Enrique looks ****ed at left back. He.seriously needs to lose at least a stone in muscle. Hes just far too bulky for a modern fullback. Needs to lean up a little.

Shelvey has improved dramatically during the last 12 months. He looks like he could command a regular first team spot now, maybe in the longer term he's the natural successor to Gerrard?! I don't know, but he does have vision and he's very imposing. He does remind me of a young Gerrard.

Thought we grew into that game pretty well. If there's one thing that's been apparent it's that in a passing system, you're only as good as your weakest link (to a certain degree) - Carragher, Spearing and Enrique have put us under big pressure with silly passes.

I think Aquilani has been neat and tidy. Played a couple of superb balls. Still think he has what it takes to thrive in this system. I think we'll come up against a fair amount of teams who will be happy to surrender possession against us, and a creative player like him will be worth his weight in gold then.

Shelvey has looked class. You can see where the Gerrard comparisons come from. He's got a rangey style, and he definitely looks to have goals in his game. Also very impressed with McCloughlan, who has looked really composed in possession. Looks like another promising right back to compete with Kelly (who could maybe be groomed for Center back now?).

After the stick Cole got after the last game, I think it's worth giving him a shout. He's looked very sharp to be fair to him. Superb control, and Shelvey apart, has probably looked our best player.
